Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Or they're educated enough to know that chances are the revolution can end up with the new rulers being just as bad or worse that the previous ones or that the new rulers can turn out to be incompetent boobs, so they don't want to bother. Sound too pretentious to me. Has Savarin pull "You're n...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
The point is that take Kira out of his OP suits and he's a decent pilot at best. In no way could you say the Barbatos is overpowered. It's only as deadly as it is because Mika is controlling it. I don't think we have enough information for you to make that point. We don't know how other pilots woul...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
That interface simply lets Mika control the suit like his own body. There's nothing simple about it. Like UC's psycommu, that's a level of control that other pilots do not have with their own machines. It's still his skills being used. Just as it is still other pilots' skills being used to control ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
The main problem with Kira isn't that he always won, it's how he always won. He'd just show up, fire off some aim hack beam spam and be done with it. There's no skill involved with that. Mika always wins, but it's because he's just that good. There is plenty of skill involved in shooting others whi...

I don't understand. Where is the "god mode" and invincibility? And even if true, how is that any different from other Gundam shows?balofo wrote:MS are in god mode unless Barbatos maces them, ships are completely invincible.

Re: Is Tomino's work an acquired taste?
As for Crossbone...I have no idea. It's more like modern Gundam shows than any of his other works, and is incredible in its own right. It's even UC. Why it's in this cold, dark place in the mind of Bandai may be forever a mystery. Why do you think that's the case? Is it just because it doesn't have...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Has Gundam ever been bound by the look in-universe? I don't think there's anything that actually prevents anyone from naming their mobile suit, Gundam.Kuruni wrote:now the term "Gundam" is given new context, why should they bound by the look?

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
The next problem would be the siblings rivalries in the future and their need of expanding the families otherwise genetic bottleneck will occur (unless they have genetic engineering to such a degree that harmful recessive genes can be cut out), that would definitely be a potential for disasters and...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
It's probably some kind of an adapter/opening in the suits, and not part of their bodies. But if they don't have the system within their bodies, then they wouldn't have a need for it either.Deathzealot wrote:Yeah but we have seen them without the Whisker Attachment before, mainly with Mikazuchi and Akihiro.

Those kids also had the operation so they also have the system in place.E08 wrote:Wearing the whisker attachment doesn't mean anything, it seems to be their normal space attire. If i'm not mistaken, even the kids have them on when they were taking Kudelia's lesson in episode 6.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
The easiest way to portray a loss without risking death is by failing to accomplish an objective. For that, they would need a target to attack which can repel them. In other words, they need to be on the offensive. As long as they're on the defensive, losing isn't really an option unless they're sim...

Jupiter? Isn't this getting too complicated? We already have multiple factions between Earth and Mars without having a third planet in the mix.

So, I just read about this: https://nekketsunikki.wordpress.com/201 ... er-turn-a/
If that is a real and accurate translation, then it appears Tomino is saying that RC happened after CC.

I believe the issue about age is only referring to the surgery. Once you have it, you should still be able to use it until you die or until you suffer some kind of damage to the relevant system.Mythgarr wrote:Will we be shown that after Akihiro's reaching his age, he can't use the Alaya system anymore?

It doesn't change the fact that thunder doesn't hit you. There's no bolt of thunder. You're misunderstanding the name of the phenomenon. A thunderbolt is not a bolt of thunder. A thunderbolt is a flash of lightning with a simultaneous crash of thunder. In other words, it's a bolt of lightning that ...

If you ask me to translate that, it's more like, All Gundam starting from MSG, are on a single timeline, included in the same history so to speak. Thich I take to be more like what is shown in the image I attached, they are now included in a single timeline, CC, but they were separate timelines for...
