Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk III
So aside from the color-thruster relationship theory, can be assume that MS performance is not limited by design but by the cost of what are you willing to spent on a grunt suit? The 15% improvements on the Zulus are ludicrous because they are the same frame. The same is true in the Ecoas type Jegan...

Re: Valvrave: mecha discution and speculation
Ain't wonderful how the beam emissions from the Valvraves are color coded for convenience? I felt they were going to gattai (combine) in episode 11? It was so power-ranger-fulish

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
nacho-wan: I sense a big Evangelion-style Triangle of Doom in the making, although sofar the SakixHarutoxShoko triangle has been delightful in its contrasting happiness. (Not to mention Valvrave-tan as the ero-ero cheerleader in the background> :) ) However, like Shingeki no Kyojin , I have no idea...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
nacho-wan: Well, you were wondering when the vampire ability would (literally) bite someone in the ass. I suppose you have been granted an answer to your question.... Quite the bite if you ask me (or Saki for the matter). Now, what is the price for the fellow pilots? An EVA-style curse like seen in...

Re: Valvrave: mecha discution and speculation
This last episode points to Valvrave unique status, something that was easy to forgot after the massive spamming abilities of and 5 in episode 9. Wonder if this unit is the only one to have a real reactor (Rave engine) versus the remote power gathering (the Mirror engines). I don't think the Harakir...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
A few things that haven't being addressed: -All the pilots have to surrender their humanity to pilot Valvrave; yet Haruto is the only one that has vampire tendencies; and as the stinger noted his is the only Valvrave with AI. -Saki longed to be alone with Haruto. Maybe because he is the only one tha...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
You know, I think that the Vampire ability is going to backfire soon enough. I'm just waiting for Saki's rampage (she doesn't sleep with somebody that could knock her out).

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
Let be honest, most modern media entertainment is a remix of previous thing. The traditional example is Star Wars: everybody says that in the 70s everyone wanted to imitate the blockbuster of Star Wars and we had a lot of stories of similarities. Yet Star Wars isn't the new. It is a blend of western...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
What the blazes are the Valvraves?! Are those biological units beneth the armor á la Evangelion? This episode just laid some more confusion and awesome mechas. The blue was really cool, but yellow Thunder was huge! It was obvoious that Yamada was going to pilot that hulking machine, as for moneybags...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
How come nobody is surprised that the space nazis have a chinesse princess?... wait this is animé where things just need to look cool. Plausibility is built afterward by fans. I loved this episode, quite better that the last two. I'm bit pissed at how the Valvraves have being lacking punch against t...

@Xenosynth: Age's characters rarely make sense, don't ask the sataff to make plausible physics.
The only logic I could find to the DODS is that its plama container is spiral shaped, like a drill bit.

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
I doubt the staff are going to touch the deadly sins with the Valvraves, this show has too many power rangers shades to go that dark. I for one, think that L-Elf is going to keep himself very far from the Valvraves as possible. He loves himself and his plan too much to be risking execution by machin...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
@Wellman: I think the difference lies in that Code Geass took itself very seriously while Valvrave is just about highschoolers in a space setting with extraordinary circumstances. Code Geass was about grandstandng, Valrave is a fun time.

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
I didn't like this past episode. It confirmed that Valvrave is as flawed as most people belive -which I have being ignoring so far. I feel that the Saki in this episode is far too inconsistent from the cool-headed Rukihino we saw in the earlier episodes. Aside from that, I hated that Valvrave Hito b...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
I'm rather worried about the pacing in Valvrave. Come on Sunrise, didn't you learn anything from 00S2, Code Geass R2, and most frustratingly, Gundam AGE (keep in mind I -liked- all of those to a greater or lesser degree). Valvrave's pacing is pretty weird IMO. The episodes themselves go by quickly ...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
Let's be fair, for being a mecha show Valvrave is having very little mecha action in the last two episodes. The staff preferred to use this time to expose the setting, which is very good to me. In my opinion the lack of character introductions is intentional -I learned that Rukihino was an idol in a...

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
I don't think L11 is a factor for Dorssia since he knows that he would be accussed of treason and besides he want to change Dorssia -assuming he didn't lie to Haruto in order to gain access to the Valvrave.
As a side note, I'm the only one that loves the VVV Project monicker for the staff?

Re: Valvrave The Liberator
Took a while to catch up with you guys, but now that I read throught the entire 11 pages I feel I'm allowed to contribute. I'm loving the series so far. I don't like the vampiric elements, nor the bimbo on the VOS but for the rest I'm ok. For the last episode, I was impressed by the colony independe...

Re: Thoughts on mobile weapon's weapon loadout?
You know the GN-X is quite the example, because later redesigns focus not only on modularity and simplicity but on being able to be loaded with equipment to suit the pilot's preference. I guess the Ahead works similar considering Mr Bushido's and Soma's units
