Again in movie II there is not much example of Zock doing many things, so we do not know its max speed. The spec however, while inaccurate in many MSs, does show Zock with quite a bit more thrust than its full weight: gross weight 229 T and max thrust at 253 T [through it is listed as hydrojet thrus...

Zock would not do well at close range, but it would not be easy to get close to Zock since Zock has no back and has MPCs surrounding the whole MS. However Zock would have shorter range of attack compared to Guntank's shell-firing cannon, and of course it cannot fire in arc like Guntank. IIRC Zock is...

Maybe Kamille is the one designing how Zeta transform? Maybe he incooperates MK II's movable frame tech and Rick Dias's modular design [binder addons and thrusters-on-the-butt] together? Zeta does have main thrusters on legs and rear skirt, and its wing binder, stabilizer and shield can be exchanged...

IIRC since Zaku I pretty much all MSs have handplug that both communicate with and power up weapons in hand. Early MSs handplug cannot feed Minovsky particles and/or plasma into beam saber, however, so its beam saber can run out and need to be recharged in appropriate racks. Heat weapons are powered...

Unless fighting in restricted area where GM can be cornered GM's faster reaction/turnaround time would probably give it advantage in such up-close attack. Plus Rickdom's kicking range is still shorter than GM's beam saber range... On the other hand even Zaku II can rip parts of Gundam if it has a ch...

At Side 6 battle a Rickdom dodges 2 shots from Amuro successfully but get shot by 3rd shot. At least the scene shows that Rickdom can dodge rapidly to the side. Some of the footage from the Side 6 battle, though, is simply recycled from the battle with the Black Tri-Stars on Earth. As a result, not...

As Mark said Rickdom and GM are MS intended for different role. However the outperforming part in papers doesn't seem to be shown well in the movie III. Again from Movie III that has been shown earlier there are only 4 scenes with GM deals or be dealt with Zeon MSs, and none show GM as really more a...

At 43.8 tons Rickdom's empty weight is only around 3 tons heavier than GM [and on par with Gundam's 43.3], so the additional weight for full weight [78.6 tons for Rickdom and 58.8 for GM] is likely weapons and propellent's weight and not excessive armor. For comparision Gelgoog's empty weight is 42....

Again in Movie III Rickdom uses its heat saber to parry GM's beam saber, so obviously heat saber can withstand beam saber at least briefly for indirect hit [parry]. From the movie it seems that unless Rickdom stops moving GM is not likely to make easy kill, and exploding Rickdom right next to the sh...

1 on 1 fight with normal grunt pilots: GM is likely to win if it can quickly get close to strike with beam saber or BSG before Rickdom can pull out its heat saber. Rickdom can survive if it can repel initial attack and keep distance and run away rather than trying to duel with GM. If it can be kept ...

IIRC in MSG final battle Gundam slows down when firing bazookas, while it can fire beam rifle with ease while dashing around. Rickdoms however have been seen flying fast and shoot at the same time. I am well aware that CDA is just a manga. However GMs do get data from Amuro's data in Gundam's learni...

It has been pointed out that official specs do not reflect what is seen in animation, so it is not very reliable. Classic case in point is Gouf: in animations its thrusters can send it going up in the sky with ease, yet the spec shows that it's thrusters cannot lift it off the ground. It is also sup...

IIRC MS-06R-2 is not selected for mass production and Rickdom is selected because of R-2 is a gas guzzler and more expensive to build. Zimmad seems to make better engines than Zeonic. I would say comparing GM and Rickdom is not really good thing. It is sortha like comparing a fighter to a divebomber...

Many newer guns are simply not avaliable in MSG so it is obvious to see all GMs with BSG and Rickdoms with bazooka, but later anime, games, etc have them. At the present both the fed and Zeon's MSs can be equipped with loads of different handheld weapons, and their use seems to creep back into more ...
