Didn't the colony hit San Francisco as we see in the Zeta the Golden Gate brigde is underwater or was caused by the OYW? I think that was probably caused by the OYW. I'm fairly certain Operation Stardust was meant to target the means of food production in North America (that is, the grain fields an...

I mean - in the last episode where May's face appears in space with the 'Zeon' flag waving behind him gently in the wind? This aryan warrior crusading against injustice - I almost want to puke. Thta definitely wasn't just in the last episode...in fact, if I recall correctly, it actually occurred at...

Could be a reference to the apparent technological regression between 0083 and Zeta, but I can't think of any plot points off hand that were retconned...although, I do have yet to see all of Zeta (or, for that matter, ANY of ZZ), so there could very easily be something in 0083 that contradicts what ...

Although there could be any number of explanations for that, the most likely one is that the Nina/Gato plot hadn't been conceived at that point. 0083 changed directors about halfway through the series, and so the storyline becomes a tangled mess in the later episodes. Ever notice the half-assed cons...

Does he, though? He doesn't seem to in his most basic mode, so I was thinking that the "tail" was just one of the panels at an odd angle.

It doesn't have to be out of the system. Though I doubt it, it is not out of the question for people in 00 to have taken residency on the Moon, Mars, the Asteroids, or Jovian Orbit, to name a few. However, given 00's nature, it seems unlikely that humans have gotten farther than the Moon. Oh, I hav...

Permanent bases on other planets? So, we might visit other wordly locales? As for his age, it is possible he cyrogenically froze his body, uploaded his brain into a computer, or left an AI behind to send out his message. It's also possible it's a clone, or just someone masqurading as him... Or, he ...

How can it have anti beam coating when there are no beam weapons previously? The shield may simply be uber durable, or maybe it's a scene further down the road after the Union has access to GN technology. Ah, but do we really know that they don't have beam technology yet? For all we know, it may ju...

It wasn't the "subs" (Not gonna talk about it either)- The captions I'm referring to were in the RAW as well. Bottom of the screen near the middle, in the first scene...nevermind, I'll take a screenshot: http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/3342/vlcsnap170903xb7.png Bottom of the screen. Th...

Little bit late for this, but as for the whole "I am Gundam" thing...I sorta interpreted that as being Setsuna's musings that he has taken on the role as the Gundam that rescued him 6 years prior, as he mutters the line right after flashing back to that particular scene.

We don't know what sort of negative reaction the GN Drive would have to a large explosion/self-destruction. For all we know, it could have a small-nuclear bomb type explosion, killing tens of thousands of people instantly. I doubt the CB would put that in the Gundams. Not to mention, would this SD ...

zOMG WHATS THIS?! SECURITY SYSTEMS IN MY GUNDAM!? lulz, you cant jack these gundams :O That's really cool. Makes sense, though, if you think about it; after all, CB's entire goal hinges on having these machines that are leaps and bounds beyond the weapons capabilities of any other military force in...

Now, I definitely don't have the attention span to read through all 9 pages of this thread, but has anyone managed to identify the Gundam seen taking out the Amphs (those headless MS's in the opening scene)? I've taken a snapshot of it from the fansubbed version I downloaded, and from what I can te...

Y'know, the lines on the head of that silhouette remind me incredibly of the Turn-A. Then again, the Exia reminds of (a more traditional Gundam take on) Turn-A as well, so I may just have Turn-A on the brain.

The sheer concept of a smart-ass Haro completely blows my mind.

As for the technology thing, I suppose it sorta makes sense that it's so advanced. I'm not sure what the current consensus is on when the Universal Century calendar started, but it can't be as late as the 24th century.

I need more action. I'm looking forward to episode 2 providing me that 8) 8) While action is good times and all, I hardly thought that this episode had a lack of it; indeed, it seemed to jump right into the fray of things. The preview for the next episode seemed pretty action-packed, though, so you...

Just finished watching the first episode. I was very impressed. 00 seems like it is off to an excellent start...but before I go on and on about my impressions, I would love to see a decently-subbed version of the show. My fansubber (Nyoro~n) seemed like they had pretty much done a rushed quicksub of...

There's never been any mention of the Federation Forces nuking populated colonies in the Japanese sources. There are some reports that they used nuclear weapons against the falling colony during Operation British, but the Zeons had already exterminated all of that colony's inhabitants with poison g...

Question concerning Zeon

One thing I've always been confused about: I often see people referring to Zeon much as they would Nazi Germany (calling it the Fourth Reich, that sort of thing). I was always under the impression that a) while the Principality was essentially a military dictatorship at the time of the One-Year War,...
