Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVII

Well guys, this looks legit. Seems like someone posted a scan of what Raphael's backpack Gundam looks like. Spoilers of course, so the link and my observations are in the spoiler tag BackPack Gundam Still no word on whether the drives in the big cannons are true drives or not, but it seems to have ...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVII

Anyway, having too much free time, I decided to look again at the latest trailer, looking again at the zabanya in slo-mo...wait... Anyone already notice this??seems it's the add on/upgrade pack for Zabanya: 1 , 2 , 3 . Previously I don't know where the holster and riffle bits II came from in the 14...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVII

That's interesting, can't wait to see the GN-X IV's performance in the movie. And can I ask for more translation too(:D), from the HG 00 Qan[T] manual , the sword bit section. I can see the Katakana for 'grip' there, does that confirm the sword bit can be wield? If yes, is it limited to the B bit? ...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVII

Probably not a big deal, but the newly-made Drives (for the Qan[T] at least) were created with the TDS in mind, so they were in sync from the beginning. No mention of the total number of drives created, but this really opens up the possibility of more than one TDS for CB, yes? :P What intrigues me i...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI

Looks like Zabanya has a variant of the 'combine the shield bits to get a more powerful beam' trick the Cherudim had, though I haven't a clue how it's supposed to work with the Holster Bits at angles like that. Also, I wonder what caused Fedlt tp cry but that's not really a mecha question. Didn't r...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI

That 'Buster Rifle' is quite ugly. I agree. GN Sword is good. Sword Bits are good. The sum is more beautiful than the parts? Nay. Anyway, the latest from Ngee Khiong (who got it from somewhere else), http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4120/4823998660_fa82f1db14_b.jpg Ptolemy2Kai's new stuff are booster...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI

00 Qan[T] and Zabanya gimmicks Don't have knowledge of japanese, but casual observations point out the following: - 00 Qan[T]'s GN Sword is the GN Sword V - Zabanya's GN Sniper Rifles are modular, and can detach parts to become GN Pistols or GN Rifle Bits - Containers can combine with each other in...

Re: Spacecraft capable of atmospheric flight

Alright, there are several minor misconceptions running around this thread, so let me clear things up. Currently, designing a hybrid air/space vehicle is impossible due to technological limits in aerospace engine design. However, the actual difference between liquid fueled rocket engines (like the ...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI

Nothing too unexpected... Binders control particles/field much like Alvaaron, so we have the Alvaaron Cannon. As a bonus, they have small rifles built into the binders, shooting from the tips. Standby mode doesn't appear to serve any purpose, but they can readily shift into Attack mode, where the pa...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI

I FOUND THE BACK VIEW! http://blog-imgs-36-origin.fc2.com/a/m/a/amarukeiichi/I.jpg Looks like they are indeed mounted on pivots that could wing one side to the other, but they don't seem to be able to detach so they're not fangs so canon and wings seem to be their only obvious purpose. Can't seem t...

wow...I never expected that reaction on either side.... anyway....new mech related topic. Zabanya's "wings" I've already stated that they now seem like rifle bits to me, am I the ONLY one who thinks this? Mainly if you didn't have that assumption in mind what do you think they'd be? A hug...

Re: Gaplant TR-5's Diffuse Beam Cannons

I imagine it'd be like a real beam spray, like the spray from an aerosol can. Meant to cover a wide area but short distance. I think so too, and the movable binders gives it more options in setting up a tight defense, e.g., overlapping protective bubbles. I haven't read anything to such an effect, ...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI

I'm not sure it's the cockpit itself. If you look at the picture, there is an orange flat surface just below the folding part that lokks awfully like a hatch. Same thought here. I'm wondering what purpose the moving torso really serves. It looked initially as though the head retracted into the empt...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

I've never seen how the ZII transforms, but is the torso transformation similar to the Zeta, i.e., http://dalong.net/review/mg/m87/p/m87_t12.jpg? The HGUC kit for ReZEL did away with the actual transformation, but the torso part that is swapped in seemed suspiciously like the Zeta. It's closer to t...

Found on 4chan. Just a lil something that looked interesting, probably fanart. Now I must go take a shower... since going to 4chan made me feel like a scumbag :( Interesting. Most likely fanart, but I had the same impression regarding those big arm cannons, that they looked very much like Seravee's...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XV

Harute's overall design is very much Arios, except they did away with the knee/wings and those long shoulder/nose things, and added the upsized Archer backpack. I wouldn't be too surprised if they retained the original GN submachine guns. Maybe we'll still find the GN Drive in the crotch. Zanbanya's...

And that chin too, they normally retain obvious traits like that. Was trying to locate a machine with such a chin, but alas, my level is not high enough.

BTW, any word on if it's a one or two GN drive machine? Nope, nothing on that. Doing their best to keep up the suspense, I expect >_> More info from the pictures: * GN Field - dualwielding MS, therefore lacking a shield - compensated by small GN field generators at the elbows (those pointy things) ...
