Re: UC Warship crew complements?

I'm ready to accept a number between 200 to 270 to crew a Salamis. And 270 to 350 for a Pegasus of any class. And 400 to 500 for a Magellan. I don't have solid data and this is only my estimation but numbers larger that those I think we'll get life support issues like not enough oxygen, food, clean ...

Re: Attack on Titan

I prefer it that way but I suspect in the end it's man against man struggle just this one using giant's power instead of the usual uber-humanoid-machine.

Re: What was the death toll of the OYW up until Antartica?

Well, judging from real world history. We never really get solid numbers of victims from past events, especially the notorious one that covered deep in international politics. Probably OYW is the same thing. The numbers probably being generated by lost colonies and emptied cities. But people migrate...

Re: Five Star Stories - New Arc

Uh, Gothicmade was released back in November. And while we're at it, this is GTM-related news. Nagano decided he should merge his two universes together, and this new "FSS" arc is more of a GTM-FSS crossover thing, using terminology from GTM and plot points from FSS from what I gather. It...

Re: Five Star Stories - New Arc

I haven't read all of FSS yet, but I'm excited to see it come back and hopefully get finished this time. Me too, some of it are pretty elusive especially the translated one. While we're at it, I wonder why there isn't any news about Gothicmade. it should be released last year but I couldn't find an...

Five Star Stories - New Arc

Five Star Stories made a Newtype cover, May 2013 edition. Newtype May 2013 Cover.. More goodies inside! Looks like what ANN wrote December last year actually happens, below is quote from ANN. The official Twitter account for the works of manga/anime creator Mamoru Nagano announced on Saturday that h...

I heard bout Gp02 link to Rick Dias too but aside from design-wise, both machine has totally different purposes that I doubt aside from sharing some mechanical AE branded intestine, they have strong lineage connection at all.

Re: Making Sense of the Battle of Loum

How could the principality "blockaded" Luna 2? Seriously with them listed as "smaller" than the EF, they ought to use a good portion of their fleet just to attack all those various places before Loum. How could even just before Loum, they could still put an adequate portion of th...

Re: Why did Titans get Marasai and not Nemo?

very close specs? more like Marasai being mass produce version of Rick Dias akin to how a GM to a Gundam. Rick Dias is Gundam-ish anyway from the start.

if the specs are close, the Nemo won't stand a chance against Marasai since it's performance is not equivalent to Rick Dias.

You mean the Luna 2 Fleet need one whole week to mobilize? Everything seems rational except the one week part.

Re: Katoki and his influence?

Katoki is the one that made the convoluted Zeta Gundam transformation a reality without part swapping in the MG kit which was released in 1996. This preceded the GFF line in the Bandai Collectors department by many years. In addition Katoki's illustrations have been the basis for the vast majority ...

Re: ANN's Gundam Poll

I don't know about that, ANN was not exclusive to the US gundam fans. non-Japanese Asians also contribute most of its fan base. Few years ago I'll vote for 00. But after Season 2 and Trailblazer I lost the mood. Zeta despite my love for it seems to be too gloomy. Wing is the coolest and I'm a UC-fan...

Re: Minovsky Particles and Detection Distance

The animation wasn't really clear. At least now I can't re watch the scene. Does the gas simply lowers the beam power to the point where when it connect to the Big Rang's armor it doesn't do any real damage? It does show some explosion, it may be missiles but the beam was pretty without doing seriou...

Re: You know Char's plan in CCA is actually kind of stupid.

I cannot find the logic. If earth need to sustain the colonies to the point of daily breathing, eating and drinking, might as well just let them be on Earth, building oceanic colonies or giant underground facilities. It's just not making any sense to move billions of people into space and then sent ...

The Big Rang has its "25-barrel counterbeam chaff launcher x 4". Can beam get deflected by the so called chaff? Judging form the show it looks great and pretty effective, remembering its OYW stuff.

Re: Katoki and his influence?

Okay, you know what, this is starting to get a little bothersome. Anybody who makes the claim that Katoki- lacks the ability to draw anything original Is either unaware of the entirety of his body of work, or is simply refusing to acknowledge it. While it's true that over the course of the past dec...

Re: Katoki and his influence?

Okawara made from scratch, he got the vision and all but not the details. Katoki sort of perfected it and make it believable in 3d environment. But I think he lacks the ability to draw anything original. It's like Okawara is the story writer and Katoki is the editor that fix the grammar and structur...

Re: The Bigness of Smaller Things

So Icarus being spelled Apsaras the similar name like the Hindu water nymph is coincidence? We know the REMOVED know rather well in Apsaras-thing mythology since it's pretty popular to them like how Norse mythology, like Valkyrie, Thor, Freya in Western world. Quite a lot of manga and anime branched...
