Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
It appears that modern MS are at least equal to the MS performance of the Calamity War era including the 72 Gundams, but maybe only the Gundams had the Alaya-Vijnana and therefore syncs with the pilot more intuitively. The whole idea of new MS better than old MS might still be valid, as was the Ahea...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Again, the armor reminds me of RX-78's Luna Titanium comparative advantage during One Year War against Zeon weaponry. While it could withstand firearms but could be damaged by explosives from Giant Bazookas etc. In the Gamecube game, Gundam was only vulnerable to grenades and bazookas, and of course...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Anime Thread Mk I
Did anyone find Ikeda Shuuichi voicing young Edourd Mass a bit odd? Would they have to modulate his recordings to make him sound younger. He was also very monotone especially with his parting scene at the end, but it may also have reflected his change in persona.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Mecha animes usually don't have any in universe rationale for using giant humanoid mecha. But I think IBO has one. MS are large scale weapons capable of carrying an Ahab reactor, which enables it to have bulletproof armor. All weapons available are solid based, hence those with Ahab reactors are alm...

Simply amazing!
Just imagine that all mobile suits have Gundarium alloy or some degree of Phase Shift or GN armor.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
The melee fights and weapon smashing strongly reminds me of Break Blade, and I think this was meant to be the Obari directed mecha episode, even though it was a brief fight. Seeing that the frog Gundam and the knight Gundam are both seen wielding melee weapons in their model kits, I think we will se...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
So only Gjallahorn could build Ahab Reactors, or at least Ahab Reactor at a size compatible for MS?
Does that mean MS of other factions won't use Ahab Reactors? Maybe Gjallahorn's two MS models are considered newer than those of Deiwas and Brewers due to this.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Given the joint parts, the booster must be compatible with the Graze series as well. It also clearly states that it is compatible with some kits other than Barbatos. More and more products will be released with shared compatibility, maybe weapons packs mountable onto the booster.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
So what forms of the Barbatos should be expect? Form 1: bare shoulders and left arm gauntlet Form 2: Graze shoulders + Graze left arm Form 3: Graze shoulders + Schwalbe Graze left arm Form 4: Regular I find it odd how the 1/100 doesn't include the gauntlet and the mace, so I guess they will be disca...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Graze Kai being a makeshift repair of a captured machine makes sense. You usually don't see a formal Kai version or Mk-II of the newest mainstay unit when it has just been introduced to the audience. Of course, the Flag had a quick one week mod speed specific for tuning. I see that since they have t...

The Graze's rifle is shown to be single fire, thus truly a rifle compared to Jean calling his machine gun as a rifle in 0079.
It may have an automatic setting though.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
The Hyakuren must have gotten some cues from Teraoka's Ahead.
Ebikawa's Graze looks like Teraoka's KG-6 from Aldonah Zero.
That frog Zaku resembles the Grimoire.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
It looks like the Barbatos would be salvaging parts from fallen enemies, which reminds me of Delphine and the Astray's on field mods. The 1/100 Graze mentions the inclusion of a forearm part for the 1/100 Barbatos, I hope it isn't the Schwalbe Graze's arm which rules out the need for a 1/100 release...

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch, & Rumors XII
The average G-Tekketsu HG kit is 1000 yen, same as those from AGE. Maybe colour separation will be limited.
Looking forward to the 1/100 Graze though, the first 1/100 mainstay grunt with a good price point(non MG). I hope the blue one will get a release too with the same frame.

Re: Best Unicorn/Banshee/Phenex?
GFFMC all three. Get the definitive version so you won't have to care about any lower version. But then that would depend on your standards. RD has the best articulation, GFFMC has the best sculpt with transformation, PG is pretty good for a transformable model kit. MG is rubbish. Sadly, I have all ...
