Re: Ep. 071 - The False and the Forgotten

Great show, I was thinking since we're digging into the crates for forgotten shows that should be revived how about Project A-ko, it was one of the first anime I saw and I have been wanting to add it to my collection for a long time. A remastered box set would awesome. Another would be the Gall Forc...

Well then I stand corrected, and you're right about Clarke and Asimov, sad really.

Re: Episode 002: One Piece

I wanted to clarify the difference between "hard" and "soft" science fiction, hard sci-fi grounds itself in practical scientific concepts in other words, what is possible with our current understanding of science and none of the more speculative, traditional science fiction trope...

Re: Mecha Fightstick Concept

Not bad, I can see some of the various mecha influences in the design, a little Gundam, some super robot, and a bit of Tekkaman Blade there too. Give it some color and I think it'll look great, it just needs a background to accent it.

Thinking of VOTOMS there was Wiseman, an AI the that manipulated an entire galactic civilization for thousands of years in order to create a living god to rule mankind.
Eichi Hoba from the first Patlabor movie who set his master plan in motion long after he was dead.

Re: Ep. 069 - Stark Raving Madhouse!

Great show, I think one awesome but useless super weapon that wasn't mentioned in this thread yet is the Grand Cannon from Super Dimension Fortress Macross. It's a fixed cannon that can hit fleets in orbit, only if they are facing the right side of the Earth and takes a long time to charge and fire....

Gran Turismo 5, the prettiest game on the PS3 to date and the best entry so far in the series, a must own for car enthusiasts.

I recognize the Kobou from Sakura Taisen, an AC from Armored Core, the PTX from Lost Planet, and the knight from White Knight Chronicles.

Re: Gundamn! Mailbag Drop Box

My cousin and I were talking about this question one evening so I'd though pose it to you, has there been a time in TV series or movie where you actually wanted the villain to win? Either because the villain had a plan credible enough to beat the protagonist legitimately, or simply because the heroe...

Some say, that he once ate a whole pineapple salad, kissed his girlfriend before heading off on a mission, then piloted a Zudah into combat... and lived! And that he once beat Master Asia, Domon Kasshu, the Shuffle Alliance, Gai Shishio, Zengar Zonvolt, Koji Kabuto, and the Getter team in a slightly...

Re: Ep. 064 - Straight, No Chaser

Great show guys, When Neo mentioned how some see their pastime as a lifestyle, it reminded me of the TheGameOverthinker who made an excellent video addressing that subject. I think he said it best that if your favorite hobby doesn't help you make income or improve your quality of life, then your doi...

Re: Ep. 063 - The Postmaster Strikes Back!

On the question of the inconsistent level of technology in the Gundam universe it can be argued that cars may not look that radically different from now since more conservative designs are easier to mass produce. Also firearms haven't really changed that much in the hundreds of years since their int...

Re: Ep. 062 - Sewing Shadowy Seeds

Not to harp on the stupidity of fanboys and trolls, but when you mentioned Robotech.coms' forums it reminded me of a YouTube user that trolls every single Macross related video he can find saying how it shouldn't be called Macross because people know it better as Robotech anyway. He even went as far...
