I always assumed that Almiria committed suicide
There was some mention of her in a radio drama that implied she was still alive but not in a good mental state.

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Mecha Thread Mk I
The Sinanju rusted away/disintegrated. Some of its core components remained which is why Angelo was able to locate it and open the cockpit to see Full Frontal.

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
The FF-S3 was built as a space variant of the FF-3 so the design "flaw" is shared by the predecessor. I failed to mention that I think it's a throwback to conventional (modern for us) aircraft design where aircraft were not designed for 360-degree combat.

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
I assume it's because the Saberfish wasn't intended for 360-degree battle. It was supposed to execute high-speed strafing attacks against battleships or perhaps engage in the rare space dogfight. More likely though, they were intended to be deployed from their space-borne mothership, enter a colony ...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Mecha Thread Mk I
The Sinanju Stein for Gundam Narrative has Sleeves markings, a slightly different riffle nozzle and a shield similar to the Sinanju. Perhaps it was used by this antagonist Sleeves pilot prior to its conversion for use by Full Frontal?

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I
A version of the Phoenix Hunting Incident has been depicted as part of the UC Novel continuity in which the Neo Zeong was destroyed by the Phenex. Yona and Rita are in there. https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%A6%E3%83%8B%E3%82%B3%E3%83%BC%E3%83%B3%E3%82%AC%E3%83%B3%E3%83%80%E3%83%A0#3%E5%8F%B7%E...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I
I'm concerned that this may end up being a bit half-assed similar to Twilight Axis with its very brief "episodes"
That said, it appears that there is a "villain" pilot for the Sinanju Stein so.....maybe there's a new model after all

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Mecha Thread Mk I
It's possible that the Core Fighter was hastily put in since the psycoframe cockpit would've been moved to the Nu Gundam. It's either a stopgap measure or a purposeful move because including a core fighter would arguably be more expensive than including a standard panoramic cockpit. Looks like the N...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I
Huh. Wasn't the Sinanju Stein stolen by the Sleeves and modified into Full Frontal's personal machine Sinanju? Definitely confusing. Unless they built two models, I'm assuming they'll be animating a flashback of the moment when Stein was stolen....or some other cameo. It's interesting that the EFSF...

In it, the Phenex has a blue newtype glow around it. Has it gone rogue? Fallen into the wrong hands? Arguably Banshee should still be operable so I wonder if Riddhe will play a role in this

Re: UC: Beam Weapon Projectile Speed
It is a terrible waste of resources to have the onboard AI tracking the direction of all enemy units' nozzles. Clearly they can tell when someone has an active lock onto them. That's enough.

Re: UC: Beam Weapon Projectile Speed
I'd question how lock-on detection occurs... Minovsky interference prevents them from using radar, there's no way to detect an optical lock, and unless they're using an incredibly diffuse laser it'd be very difficult to spot laser detection and ranging. We have several examples of lock-on detection...

Re: UC: Beam Weapon Projectile Speed
This brings up the interesting question of how fast CAN a mobile suit change direction?
Is it probably to dodge a beam moving at 2,800 km/s with apogee motors in space?? Somehow I doubt it's possible on Earth but we've seen pilots dodge on Earth too

Re: UC: Beam Weapon Projectile Speed
It's likely that Char could only do that because he's a Newtype and it was a 1 on 1 conflict (sometimes 2 on 1 in his favour) For most mobile suit pilots though they have to consider multiple attack vectors in a 360 environment. Not only would they be unable to visually keep track of the direction o...

Re: UC: Beam Weapon Projectile Speed
I know in Gundam 00 I've seen the system warn the pilots about incoming beam attacks before in some instances. This is especially seen in Z Gundam where the pilot cockpit has two lights on either side of the pilot's seat indicating the direction of the incoming attack. It does depend on the pilot's...

Re: UC: Beam Weapon Projectile Speed
In animation, we don't see many grunt pilots successfully evade a mid-range beam attack. They're less successful when it's from a battleship. Perhaps we could try to explain it via the mobile suit pilot dodging because the AI alerted him/her that someone has locked-on to the suit. IIRC one of the te...

Re: The Last Jedi
TL;DR Rian Johnson shat over what TFA built up. I will need to rewatch I or II but this may be in my bottom 3 Star Wars movies. I hated it. Pretty much. It almost seemed like Rian didn't watch the previous movie or did it purposefully. It seems that some fans are happy with the "twists" b...

Re: The Last Jedi
Episode 8 TLJ was an awkwardly bad movie which seemed to stem from writer's disagreement with several plot points in episode 7. Several things made the movie a terrible watch: 1 - Mysterious force powers 2 - Luke's strange new personality/lack of motivation 3 - Kylo's strange "development"...

Re: Gundam 0083 Rebellion manga
The Big Zam revamp is understandable in light of the fact that it was not completely destroyed. It was only disabled by Amuro and Sleggar. It would be an otherwise waste of resources.
That said, it was pathetic how little it accomplished this time around

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV
Who knows, we could always imagine that Ride and his gang may move on to re-establishing Tekkadan's rightful place in history by exposing Rustal. But what would be the benefit of that? To disturb the peace? If it's truly Watchmen style then there will be the conflict of getting revenge against Rusta...
