I want an animated sequel to Destiny, I'm fine with a remaster of Destiny, and I don't care for a remake/retelling of Destiny. I'm also fine with another side story of either SEED or Destiny.
Is any of it going to happen? Probably not, but I'll also settle for any new anime-original Gundam work.

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
Yeah, I think it's something like that, but I don't really know, so I chose to describe it as being her comfort level rather than competence.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
Either the producer just wanted 49 episodes to begin with or there are other unstated factors involved. Dude, just drop this already because it's getting old. You keep saying the same thing over and over on this assumption that there could've been a 50th episode. But you also just answered your que...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
Pardon me for butting in, but Japanese networks are VERY particular about shows starting and ending the season on schedule, especially for anime, because after all these years they still view anime as low class entertainment. If they have to cut an episode for holidays and such, there's not much th...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
I get what you're saying, but I don't agree with what you're saying. None of us are privy to what Sunrise's specific broadcast plans were or what their deal was with the network. So to say that they could've gotten an extra episode if they wanted strikes me as an assumption made with a pretty big l...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
As far as I can recall, AGE only took 2 weeks off during its run. Still, assuming that's true, if you think that having 2 weeks off out of a total of 52 weeks (given 4 13-episode cours) is enough to limit them to air only 49 episodes, then so be it. I can do math just fine, but thanks for missing m...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
I have no problem with AGE being preempted. Come on, you definitely have. Else you won't typed this sentence (italic by me). My point is that people should not so easily attribute it to Christmas and the Olympics. That, or you aren't aware how big the events called "Christmas" and "O...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
Except that those are actually valid reasons...because the show didn't air during those occasions and it counts against the year. As far as I can recall, AGE only took 2 weeks off during its run. Still, assuming that's true, if you think that having 2 weeks off out of a total of 52 weeks (given 4 1...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
Guys, we're not having this pointless debate again. AGE is 49 episodes and that's that...one episode less is not a big deal, especially since they never gave an exact episode count to begin with. It doesn't matter to me that they only have 49 episodes. My point is that people should not so easily a...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
They still could've reserved another week's timeslot if they think it was necessary for the story. That's not the way Japanese TV works. You don't get a timeslot week by week...you get it in 13 episode "cours", or in the case of AGE, 4 cours. But this includes pre-emptions like Christmas ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-9
then hearing the series was ending at 49 and not 50 struck me as a sign too The reason that happened was because AGE not only had to take a break around Christmas but also got a timeslot preempted by the Olympics. They still could've reserved another week's timeslot if they think it was necessary f...

I thought I read somewhere that Cagalli wasn't comfortable with the IWSP. I don't know if it's true, but it sounds reasonable given she is an inexperienced Natural pilot.

Re: Female Char Clone
The gender doesn't really matter to me. I'm more interested in a character without a mask or glasses or any type of headdress or facial covering.
Well, I would really rather have no character that would be compared to Char, but that's probably never going to happen.

I think that's pretty much what one should expect from a remaster. This isn't a 2012 retelling of SEED.Dark Duel wrote:I don't think there will be any changes to the story of consequence

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
I'm especially curious to see how this version will handle Mwu blocking the Dominion's attack given that assuming he launches in the Kitbash Strike rather than the Aile Strike, said configuration IIRC has no shield - or at least it didn't carry one in Orb IIRC. The Perfect Strike carries the Sword ...

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
Its cumbersome exactly for those reason's. The Perfect Strike uses the Strike's own internal battery plus four additional batteries mounted to the Aile Striker pack. That's around four times the power of any of the other striker packs. You also have to realize the addition of the launcher and sword...

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
Its most likely they were using the Launcher strike for long range support, since with the Buster they could probably do this rather effectively. The Perfect Strike can also provide long range support as needed. Another reason for the perfect strike not being used in space is either its power consu...

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
Why don't we discuss instead why Mu used the Blast Strike Gundam instead of the Perfect Strike Gundam during the Mendel battle, to me, the fact that he didn't use that silhouette makes far less sense then when Shinn joined the military. I mean, in the remaster they gave him the Perfect Strike silho...

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
Yzak says early in Destiny that Gilbert had publically spoken in defence of child soldiers like the Creuset Team. His attitude was that they were victims of a war created by adults and so were not tried the same as consenting adults, basically given an outright pardon. Given Gilbert's overall plan,...

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
Even though they're not 'at war', Orb had already done enough dubious things that worked against ZAFT. They'd helped build the Gundams, taken in the Archangel and lied about both. Given the various tensions at the time (Kira merely confirming he was a Coordinator is usually enough to find guards po...
