Mobile HQ make sense. They are more of tatical HQ rather than a region HQ. But the planners have to weigh the cost effectiveness. There is also supportive role. During the Vietnum war, an arterlliary bombarbment is faster and move devestating than air support. The reason for land battleship is Seed ...

How many shield does the TR-1 Hazel carry?

Saw the picture of the MSIA Hazel in hlj.com. There is one pic with a Strike Noir type 2 shields on bothe shoulder. And there is another picture in a mobile armour/transforming like pose with 3 shield. The 3rd shield is carried on it's back. But the UCHG version got only one shield. As I have not se...

@ Gadget : Agreed, the shields suck up a lot of juice and that is also why I figured that a sustained barrage from regular weapons might in fact be better to use tactically in that situation to overcome an enemy protected by a beam shield. When it comes to conserving your energy with a bveam shield...

I understand there is a lot of punishment the MS armor can take, but surely there is a limit. More precisely I was thinking about an artillery bombardment and how effective that would be. If the beam shield would be 360 degrees, then it would be a different matter but (excluding Voiture Lumiere) th...

So, a fractured rib is better than a bullet wound?

In another words, getting your cockpit slammed (like Kira and Athran in the battle on an island, befor the chest hug move) is better than getting your cockpit slice into half.

Urrr...Metal hockey sticks? Or beam version? I'm sure the goal keeper wears extra body armour. So is this where the FAZZ comes in?

How about 'This Gundam is not for show', by Armuro in CCA. I still could not see what was on his mind when he said that.

The only MS I know for 'show' is the pink Zaku that was use for 'Lacus' concert. Maybe he should paint the Hi-Nu pink and use it for some concert?

Try looking at pictures of Bandai's MG Zaku II Vr.2. I cannot help but think of offensive and defensive lineman. I'm just waiting for metal to CLUNG.

Anyway, isn't G-Gundams a form of WWE with very high stakes?

There is NO way to increase the speed of radio waves to control to remote vehicles. So that will be a fixed problems. That's why AI is considered for space exploration.

Unless you can contol using psychoms, tachyon, diemsion crystals, or any FTL method, the lag time will always be a problem.

Unmanned fighters would be a reasonable development, especially given a Macross-type ship on a deep-space journey. You can only recruit & train so many new fighter pilots from the onboard population. Save the aces for critical situations requiring human judgment, and leave the routine stuff to ...

If ever man will never learn from this X-9 program, history will repeat itself. Actually, I would rather say "History teaches us that we never lean from history." Gerwalk will give the fighter VTOL. At the same time, It also allows high-speed attack. I remember Rick sweep down in the figh...
