I fear less story as a given. No way are they doing 100 episodes of this, and the 105 or so I watched weren't even the whole of the saga. I thought its pacing was right along with oldschool mecha shows. Throw through the nitty gritty parts none of us really need to see, and get to the plot and mecha goodness.
