Re: Let's Watch (In Horror) ZZ Gundam

So, the final critique. While Gundam ZZ wasn't as horrible or insulting as I once thought it was, it is definitely a mediocre show. The good episodes in the middle can't save it from the stupidity of the first 17, Tigerbaum or the lackluster finale. I would have much preferred that the original out...

Re: You know Char's plan in CCA is actually kind of stupid.

One I just thought of is lack of a strong government to take the Federation's place in space. If Char isn't going play the role of absolute dictator for the rest of his life, then his Neo-Zeon movement is going to collapse like a house of cards upon itself once it becomes clear that he doesn't have...

Re: You know Char's plan in CCA is actually kind of stupid.

@Shadowcell: Bravo, you just pointed out the main problem! @Domtropen & Zetatypes: I agree on both notions. Minerals and ore, even luxuries goods may or may not be produced or gathered by the colonist in space. However, the cost should be higher than getting them from Earth that have the working...

Re: You know Char's plan in CCA is actually kind of stupid.

Same thought occurred to me as well. Luxuries good not found in space is the issue. It's not about food, water or air. It's about small things that make life easier or happier. Call it luxuries good, but it's not always in form of gold, silver or diamonds. It could be spices for cooking, salt, seafo...

Underestimate or looking down at other is a flaw commonly possessed by more intelligent people. Gihren is the same. He even underestimate his own sister. a big mistake that is.

Re: Minovsky Particles and Detection Distance

For all its worth, the first episode of Igloo Hidden OYW, early on the Jotunheim was ambushed by two Salamis. It evade the Salamis MPC shots and the crew reported "it missed, thanks to the Minovsky Particles". next the captain sort of confirmed it, "so it missed because of the Minovsk...

Re: "Jaburo isn't the target!"

The big hypothetical question - if Gihren stays in control, and Delaz doesn't play chicken, on paper based on everything we got from the show and extra materials; is it possible for them to win A Baoa Qu?

Re: Multiplying Divisions with Zeon

01 being a red shirt?

Probably because they don't want to get sniped because 01 usually designated for commander/ leader's MS. That's an easy mark for the enemy, so better off with another number as to stop any unwanted attention to a particular MS.

Re: You know Char's plan in CCA is actually kind of stupid.

Since air is light, the only trouble is space needed to transport it into space. Air isn't very dense, true, so volume may be an issue in transport -- but 200 tons of air weighs, well, 200 tons, which isn't very light at all. That's obvious. but to think just how much that 200 tons need space in ta...

Re: "Jaburo isn't the target!"

And from the MS production numbers of EFF, they hardly have that much MSs fighting in ABQ, 42+288 basic GMs, 50 or so max for each different variants, you get at most 1000 or 1100 MSs, and 1200 Balls, that's it. Ships, the fleet that attacked S Field got 25, lost about 1/3 sinking Dolowa, that's li...

Re: You know Char's plan in CCA is actually kind of stupid.

One thing tho, the 200tons of air daily shouldn't be too hard. Remember that they need to bring the air into the colony from Earth in the first place anyway. Remind me how much air is needed to fill the entire colony? Anyhow, their facilities and infrastructure should be good enough just for maintai...

Re: "Jaburo isn't the target!"

That is not the impression I get from MSG, 0083 opening and Igloo. Didn't they were surrounded and outnumbered badly? Their only chance of winning is if the asteroid stronghold can provide them with superior ground knowledge and cover. sort like how Japanese in their underground base in WWII like Gu...

Re: Minovsky Particles and Detection Distance

I'm late to reply, but isn't it plausible to say that Beam weaponry can be bent just a little while traveling a very long distance in thick concentration of minovsky particle because of its special characteristics? Not deflecting like an I-field, but even a slight change 0.5 degree to any direction ...

Re: "Jaburo isn't the target!"

I will say how pathetic and stupid this whole operation is. Firstly, Delaz was one of the largest remnants out there, and if they joined forces with the Axis, which they know exists, will give them a much more plausible chance of defeating the EFF(which Haman almost did it in 0088 with almost only ...

Re: Minovsky Particles and Detection Distance

@Evex: I think you used it the opposite way than depicted on TV, IMO it's not a weapon that you launched into your enemy to create chaos but rather a defensive measure*. From what I can tell, MP are used in UC Gundam like today's military use smoke grenade. It's like a glorified version of it, with ...

Re: You know Char's plan in CCA is actually kind of stupid.

It seems most the Newtype characters in the animated works didn't have their powers fully drawn out until they were put into stressful situations (war in other words). This isn't to say that war is the only way to draw out a Newtype's abilities, but rather the most effective way to do so. Didn't it...

Re: "Jaburo isn't the target!"

Is it possible that the course correction might have been more of a last minute decision? Since the Delaz fleet had been double crossed it probably crossed Gato's mind that the federation had already made preparations to evacuation Jaburo well in advance just in case. While destroying Jaburo is not...

Actually, where's the source for North American granary being the target anyway? This thread is my first time hearing about it. Moreso than other, I agree with Kirby. Where they landed, it doesn't really matter. Bask is grinning because the 2nd solar ray managed to fry the colony and it altered fina...

Re: lack of discipline in the gundam series

It's pretty logical with limited numbers of soldiers and percentage of them are either killed, wounded or incapable of fighting, anyone still able to hold their weapon and follow orders are to be maintained despite their lack of discipline. of course once it ended the capitulation began. Oh and abou...
