Re: The Official Gundam Thunderbolt Anime Thread Mk I

Huh. I had no idea this manga was popular nor have I ever heard of it before; additionally, I wasn't expecting any further Gundam announcements except an official date for The Origin Part 3...thus this Thunderbolt anime comes out of left field for me. I am going to place my money on this being relea...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

Cookie, Cracker, and Biscuit?!! Oh no! Bit late to the party, but I will freely admit that I wasn't sold on Iron Blooded Orphans until this new episode. Besides, I cannot remember the last time I watched an episode of Gundam and their wasn't a single mecha battle. Correct me if I am wrong, but...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

One kinda leads into the other, maybe? If they're getting tired of Gundam, it could be that at this point it no longer really matters what kind of AU they create, whether it's a masterpiece or a failure. And not liking another Gundam series after a series of bad experiences may also leed into peopl...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

So Iron Blooded Orphans is tied at number seven amongst men for most Anticipated Fall 2015 Anime in a poll. Women didn't give a crap. I guess all those shirtless boys didn't help. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/09/10-1/japanese-fans-pick-their-most-anticipated-fall-2015-anime Well, we a...

Re: pilots talking with each other including their enemies?

yeah i was mostly talking about the non-newtype battles, like the ones where kira and shinn fought and they do have connecting dialogues i think. I don't seem to remember that, most of the time Shinn is just ranting about how Kira killed Stella and how he won't get away. If Shinn could have had an ...

Re: Aquarion Logos

as mentioned by YokozunaBulldozer, this Aquarion has elements of a Tokusatsu. and the themes there can be SO WAY out there.(METAL AFRO!) the cafe as a base of operation isn't new in a mecha series. Abaranger(its power rangers copunterpart had Doctor O's hidden Laboratory.) has the Dino Curry. When ...

Re: Aquarion Logos

I haven't watch more than the first episode...for several reasons. Firstly, the main character's constant "I am the savior" was annoying and I have a huge issue with the token Loli character that was shown in the opening...it just seems so hamfisted and forced. Especially after the OVA whi...

Re: The Official G-Tekketsu Anime Thread Mk I

Maybe it's just my bad impression on feminist, but I have feeling that even if the female protagonist is one of the most ass-kicking pilots in Gundam history, those "certain people" will still cry foul if she has girly side off-duty (say, really good at housework) and happy about it (be p...

Re: Galaxy Kikotai: Majestic Prince

Happy you finished it! And I do agree that the show reached its peak way before it got to episode 20 (I would say it was there around episode 14 or 15…). The emotion wasn’t all there and a lot of the big payoff moments were already passed by the time we got to the final battle. The only thing left w...

Re: ufotable to Produce New Fate/stay night Project

Your argument seems to boil down to you enjoying the source material and being a big fan of it. As someone who has played a little of the source material, and read a TON about it I seem to like the UBW adaption more than DEENs, precisely BECAUSE I have barely played the VN...but from what I have see...

Re: ufotable to Produce New Fate/stay night Project

Better animation? Characterization? Explanation? Action? Tone? Clearer theme? Story-telling? And not getting bogged down in the shipping (sure there was a little in the first part, but they at least had it motivated by Rin trying to give Shirou something to live for)? And that is just off the top of...

Re: ufotable to Produce New Fate/stay night Project

Thank you for clearing up the "Steel is my body" bit Raikoh . I watched the episode and was confused as well on why Shirou would say that...I know that is part of the full chant, but since Archer never used it earlier, I had no idea why Shirou would say it. Overall I really enjoyed the epi...

Re: ufotable to Produce New Fate/stay night Project

I guess this goes to different music tastes, which is always difficult to talk about. I don't find any of the tracks from the VN that memorable or exciting; especially the Emiya theme, I do not understand what is so great about the track. Additionally, I cannot get ENOUGH of Aimer's Brave Shine...th...

Re: ufotable to Produce New Fate/stay night Project

I have never read/played the visual novel and perhaps that is why I am enjoying UBW more than those who have. I often see people who have gone through the source material disliking the adaption, despite how I fail to see how any of this material will ever get a better one. Seriously, this is ufotabl...

Re: Dragon Ball (And Shonen in general)

I admit the backstory arc for Magi got on a LOT of people's nerves. I agree it could've been done better. And yes, I was furious when poor Hakuryuu was cast as a sort of villain there for a while. I was hopeful for a smashing, awesome comeback for the story when it appeared that Hakuryuu and Aladdi...

Re: Dragon Ball (And Shonen in general)

Season 1 of Magi was actually what got me interested in the story, but the manga made me lose my interest. I stopped reading when it seems they're making the prince who wanted revenge on her mom to be the bad guy now that he's taken over. You are missing out monster. I will admit I was skeptical of...

Re: Dragon Ball (And Shonen in general)

For those who do not know, Magi and the Kingdom of Magic DUB (and sub but that is nothing new) is now on Netflix. I am a big fan of the dub from the first season! Besides, this is a good chance for people to rewatch the show in a legal fashion free of ads. If you haven't seen the show, you should ch...

Re: The Official Gundam Reconguista Anime Thread Mk III

You must pay attention to every single line of dialogue to get a grasp on 80% of what is going on in the show...that last 20% is up for debate and for assumption.

So good luck, Tomino made this show essentially to be a jerk ;)

HAVE FUN!

Re: Fafner: Exodus

I was under the impression that Yumiko might be the Festum spy...especially considering how Miwa was terrified during the Festum attack (which they said has never happened before) and given her proximity to her "daughter", it made me suspicious that she wasn't somehow doing something to sc...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk-V

As a whole GBF TRY was a step down compared to S1 from the under developed characters to the stilted fights (at times) and yet I don't regret a single moment I spent watching it. In the end it was just nice little fun series to sit back and watch. Hopefully the OVAs will be worth looking into. ^Thi...
