Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

The number explicitly includes all the Gundams we've seen including Barbatos and Gusion as it's been used in their kit descriptions. Possibly there are records from the Calamity War and immediate aftermath indicating that the other 46 were confirmed destroyed and the 26 number includes 'known to sur...

Re: IBO MSV

All this swapping around of parts raises the question now of just what the hell this Gundam Frame looked like with its original armor since most of its existing equipment seems stolen from the original Astaroth and the rifle the Warren's equippied it with. Next up: Unknown Gundam Frame 'Origin', MSV...

Re: Sen'you Says You?

I'd stick with Custom. It's understood and it's even got the stamp of officialness of sorts. Btw, how is the word attached? i mean does it come before the units/weapons name first or after? or is it just in descriptions? For machines always attached after the name of the character, though the mecha ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

My thinking is that there's only a single hilt and the missile-looking things are stored blades that it pulls out as-needed. Either the blade is fragile or it's some sort of limited-use weapon and needs backups for long battles, or both. Say, a heat sword that can only operate for so long before its...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

I dunno about that, the rounded bit looks far too regular (and has notches that are definitely symmetrical) to be a launch effect, the cylinder has a groove all the way around the end that's the same sort of thing we usually see on beam saber hilts and the shape with the bit that projects out looks ...

To me that rear skirt armor/shield just screams additional sub-arms or some kind of gigantic pincer weapon a la Kyrios.

Another new Gundam Frame using a rifle, saber on right waist and something on the left: http://i.imgur.com/79mOCsU.jpg Aside from the equipment mounted to the waist, something that stood out for me is just how far above the joint the shoulder armor extends. Gives it something of a misshapen look gi...

Re: IBO MSV

I definitely wouldn't mind a Kallisto kit or the Hakuri Rodi(s) from what we've seen so far. Depending on how they set up Astaroth Origin's runners and what other suits out there have its parts (ie, do they have existing kits to build off) it shouldn't be too hard to economically churn out some of t...

Re: The Official "Identify This Mecha" Thread Ver 1.0

Yep, it is. I think its designation as the 'Specialized Rick Dom' (リック・ドム特殊化) comes from the Gihren's Ambition games and the description and appearance are definitely that of the Stutzer.

I see all of you (except for the Blossom Sail, I think that wins) and raise you by one Hermodr from Super Robot Wars. 28 kilometer-long flower-flagship, beat that!

Re: The optimal configuration of weapons for mecha?

That sounds right up Ranma 1/2's alley. Actually wouldn't surprise me if somewhere in the material, there was an Anything Goes Flower Arranging battle. Dunno, it's been a long time and I never saw/read all of it. And can we count Weiss Kreuz for having lethal flower arrangers , or is that too tenuou...

I did mean the M9 but goofed in calling it 2nd Gen, thanks for catching that. It was in response to -Mit- apparently thinking that the fight in Burning One Man Force proves anything in any way related to his point. Which it doesn't really.

Re: What is the final word on Cosmic Era beam technology?

The combined weapon when the Gun Launcher is in the forward position also fires yellow projectiles, which fits with the usual convention of yellow=solid ammunition thing CE has going on. The yellow beam when the High-Energy Rifle is in the front (as seen in that image) is a bit of an odd-one out.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

So, that's a few more Gundam Frames we can expect to get a look at next season. Everyone start rolling dice on your monsters table to see which of the remaining 68 names will be used. Won't that make IBO the first Gundam to not have beam weaponry? Yep, we've had franchises where we've seen the intro...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

I was wondering about those. You could see the gun parts in previous pictures of the kit but it wasn't obvious where they went on the actual suit since they were obviously something separate from the pilebankers in the forearms.
