Well, I never watched Wing, but the Tallgeese was so advanced at the time of its construction that twenty years after it was built it was able to fight toe-to-toe with the newest in Mobile Weapon technology. Of course, this all depends on the skill of the pilot, and the relative lack of advancement ...

It might not be an "anime" cameo per se, but in one of the Orb episodes in Gundam SEED (post Jesus getting his Freedom), for a few moments you can see an animated version of Nami Tamaki's "Believe" music video. I can't remember exactly what episode, but I think its the one right before the Drug trio...

Man, the amount of anime I have no idea about would form a list longer than my body. But two in particular come to mind, escpecially since they seem to be so popular. The first is FullMetal Panic. About all I know is a phrase "Black Technology" and "Lambda Driver." I do want to learn more about it, ...

Well, I just moved to Davis, California about a month ago so I don't know any ghost stories from here. There're probably a few, but I don't exactly go out of my way to find any. However, I was born in Redwood City (California) which is about two hours drive away from Davis. I do in fact have three l...

My grandparents live in Encinitas: they got evacuated last night. I've also got two aunts, an uncle, three cousins, and my great-grandmother in the general San Diego area. My sympathies and support are extended to everyone in the area, and I hope everyone in the path of those fires gets out okay.

Redwood City, California, USA. Well, let's see… We got a new downtown center. Lots of shops and a new 20 screen movie theatre. The Redwood City Public Library (one of my favorite parts). An old union cemetery. A really nifty historical courthouse that they've recently made some major renovations t...

Does anyone remember the South Park Movie? In particular, the "Blame Canada Song:" "We must blame them, and cause a fuss before somebody thinks of blaming us!" That sums up pretty much every political action on the part of parents over the past several years, from Kelloggs to Jack Thompson to the mo...

Is it just me, or do these 7th Fight MS look like a mid-way developmental stage between Military Mobile Suits and the full-blown martial arts suits of the 13th Gundam Fight? I mean, these guys have (somewhat) practical weapons - like bazookas and beam cannons - in addition to fencing sabers and knuc...

The opening for Choju sentai Liveman. Like most of the Toku songs, it can get pretty addictive :P No argument here. I've got all thirty-one years worth of intros and endings for all of Sentai, plus most of the Kamen Rider ones. I've also got a few of the character songs (like Hard Rain:P) and some ...

Hard Rain (There Is No Rain That Doesn't Stop), Umeko's image song from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. It's got a nice beat, and the moral of the song is quite beautiful. For those of you who aren't a sentai nut (like myself), Umeko is a young Esper who is able to read minds whenever she touches people ...

Anyobody else have GOOD/POSITIVE secrets that they would like to share? If it were something good, they wouldn't be sharing it anonymously. That sounds like the concept of "anti-crime" from the Discworld series. You know, breaking and decorating, or white-mailing (example: threatening to reveal a m...

Speaking from the viewpoint of someone who really doesn't know anything, I'd go with sticking with the BCE/CE calendar, UNTIL something more important comes along. Like, as razgriz suggested, we start colonizing other worlds or we build space colonies. Then, I'd suggest a switch to something like Wi...

Maybe if it had gone on for seven seasons of the "one show=one hour" format, they would have called the ultimate collection "24/7."

It's like bringing together matter or antimatter, or Star Wars and Star Trek: the combination of two completing opposing forces would cause absolute devastation and destruction. I ...
