Re: Tokusatsu
Dug up because, well, the next Super Sentai appear to be focus on mech . The design of the four members already give me nostalgia (they appear to be derived from Gaoking, Daizyujin, Majiking, and Daibouken) while the leader is mixture of Kamen Rider and Big One from the second Sentai, JAKQ. and cue...

Re: Getter Robo Arc anime adaptation announced
Another question, how many episodes is the ideal count for a complete, or rather, a good adaptation of the manga?
how many chapters/volume does this story arc have btw.

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I
I liked rerise better than the previous season. but it still has a meh plot overall. and yeah, the ending is too clean. the other anime that had the same kind of ending was Kanata no Astra. all of the plot points were concluded without much a hitch. all of the main characters had their happy endings...

Re: The Official Macross Delta Anime Thread Mk I
And a side question: Next to Macross, Yukikaze and Area 88, which anime have good dogfights? I have been watching 801 T.T.S. Airbats, which I do enjoy it but wishing there is more aircrafts. you can try Girly Air Force, The Magnificent Kotobuki and Warlords of Sigrdrifa. these are basically Ace Com...

Re: State of the Mecha Genre
i am surprised actually at the many third party Transformers toys in the market. and speaking of them, there seems to be some sort of irony when it comes to the fans, some complain about the bayformers adding TOO much detail but when it comes to toys doing the same its find and dandy? like that Vict...

Re: State of the Mecha Genre
Nice discussions~ especially about KanColle and Azur Lane(COME ON KCS2 with Shigure!!! ARRIVE ALREADY!!!) i became VERY interested in Naval stuff because of KC. if theKC arcade game ever gets a English console released i'd get that in a heartbeat. cant get enough of them glorious 3D versions of the ...

Re: State of the Mecha Genre
basically Ace Combat with moe waifus. Notice Gunbuster(Aim for the Top!) is Top Gun crossed with "Aim for the Ace!"(and they put the Gun part in Gunbuster, I can't believe I didn't notice this until now.) Noriko, Kazumi and Jung are waifus of that period. Ace Combat with moe waifus is per...

Re: State of the Mecha Genre
No new mecha this season. Unless you count Senyoku no Sigrdrifa, which to be honest, is basically Ace Combat with moe waifus. and i cant believe i forgot about Tomica Kizuna Gattai Earth Granner from last season. it's a bit more simple that a Yuusha show but i am still enjoying it. the Takeru and Sa...

Re: State of the Mecha Genre
Deca Dence is kinda mecha. At least a giant moving castle that has giant hands punching monsters is Super Robot mecha genre enough. (you can also see a lot of other mecha tropes in it) How did the show go? i dropped it around episode 7 or 8. there wasnt something missing there for me. here's someth...

Stuffs i read on ANN that obsolete has animation issues. or are those along the lines of "CG then its automatically bad" i watched a complete playthrough of the Shin Sakura Taisen game(YO!!! VIDEOGAMES!!!) it was fine for the most part. the characters were okay too(not the type to pick a ...

State of the Mecha Genre
recently, the line "MECHA IS DEAD" has been getting quite the attention. what are your takes on this statement? personally it more in decline than actually dead. we do get a new mecha show every season and now(Granbelm is the last original show i can recall) mecha in other mediums should a...

Re: What other anime interests you besides gundam?
i watched pretty much all genres of animes. and yes that includes BL and Hentai(Kuroinu is one of the best animated H i have ever seen.) outside of the Mecha genre, i focus on Magical Girls. especially the PreCure franchise. been actually trying to write a multi series crossover fanfic for some time...

Re: Genesis Climber Mospeada Genesis Breaker
hmm..a slice of life style show set in a mecha show setting, showing the effects of mecha warfare. not a bad premise truth be told. and the enemy being...not active is it similar to sentai/power ranger seasons where the Main Boss just stays in the base for almost the whole run?(like Shinkenger/PR Sa...

Re: Genesis Climber Mospeada Genesis Breaker
well that's good to know. one less thing to add to my long already watch list.i still have those Goshogun episodes lying in my laptop. on TOP of those Magical Girl titles. and whoa. that is a deadly blow Mospeada dealt to the peeps involved. least the Opening them was catchy and memorable. LONELY SO...

Re: Genesis Climber Mospeada Genesis Breaker
Wouldn't they run into the same kind of problems (Harmony Gold) as with Macross? No i think? since Tatsunoko animated Mospeada themselves. the likely scenario i can see is Tatsunoko and Harmony Gold letting one of the major anime streaming services show this new work. least likely is another Robote...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread
adding more questions to the folding accidents, it if possible for a weapon to be developed that can hit a ship/unit that's Folding in/out? there are series that have done this yeah? one show i recall is the Ideon using its Gun on targets in while in DS Drive. on that note, i remember opening anothe...

Re: Arbiter's Corner
agree on all points about IBO and Build Divers. Try has its fair share of faults(i hate Sekai because, DOUJINS!) at least consistent on its setting most of the times. did they ever foreshadow the particles amount limit thingy? there wasn't something like that in the original Build right? IBO's probl...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread
Because there are defense contractors, private security companies, and governments sponsoring Vanquish League teams for purposes other than simple victory like evaluating new or updated technologies in an inconspicuous way, the line between that and "civilian use" has blurred a bit... and...
