Frame Arms Girl

What, no one has started a topic on this show yet? C'mon guys, it is a story about a girl and her mecha musumoid club. It's a bit of a cross between Hand Maid May , Gundam Build Fighters , and a Revoltech/Figma catalog. Not that it's a bad basis for an anime though.... Some MAHQ members should be mi...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

Given the events of the past several episodes since McGillis Fareed made his announcement, I am reminded again that many of the seminal Japanese heroes of history & legend are beautiful losers. To wit, they fail in their earthly goals, but their accomplisments and honor redeemed in blood make them e...

Re: The Official Gundam Twilight AXIS Anime Thread Mk I

Well, at least we finally get to deal with what remains of Axis. I honestly thought that was wrapped up after CCA, but apparently not. :P We old Zeeks are still kickin' it around, man! :D Dark Duel: Yeah, still waiting on that score.... THe paint job is not a lie. Gotta wonder about what those youn...

Re: The Official Gundam Thunderbolt Anime Thread Mk I

Watched this continuing episode last night. I haven't watched December Sky yet (bad Zeonista) so the A Baoa Qu scenes were a nice transition piece. The skipping along to the Remnant Years portion of the story was handled well. The episode made a positive impression on me. albeit for different reason...

Re: The Official Gundam Twilight AXIS Anime Thread Mk I

It's very easy for people to get caught up on Twilight Axis if they knew where to look ;) Darn tootin' it's easy. Everyone please visit Deacon's beautiful updated website and read his translations. Y'know, I was ready to call UC "done" with Unicorn, which nicely put a coda on events begun in 0079. ...

oh well um OH MY GOD LOOK SO MANY MONKEYS *flee* Yes, there is quite a lot of monkey business in IBO! :D Well, it is almost all over except the shouting & weeping among the fans. Lots of that happening already in the the threads. :P I give it 1 episode for Meaningful Farewells and a launch into act...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III

Damn, this was not the final fight, and it was intense! I guess McGillis & Orga have one more chance to win at Mars, but it will definitely be more difficult than before. It is a heartbreaker but exhilerating & a little triumphant at the same time. Sort of like watching Zeta Gundam for the first tim...

Re: [Interview] - The Case for Gundam F91 - Settling Rumors

Thanks a bunch for providing this interview. It sheds some light on the production, its rapid production, and the adaptation of the story. I have a renewed sympathy for the movie staff, and a bit more wisfulness that they had some more time to get things together.

...? and that Megaroad-1 exists somewhere and made it? It's never been said that Megaroad-01 was destroyed. Only that they lost communication. This is true. Megaroad-01 eventually passed beyond what at that time was the limit of communications with Earth. It meant they were out of contact for decad...

Re: RCX-76 Guncannon: Why did it suck so bad?

These things were in my mind when I mentioned the lack of expertise in a training squadron filled with experienced pilots. Scarlet Team might also have been relatively inexperienced in real battle use of MS, despite the quality issue MS. I will cut them some slack, though. The Kampfer was an unknown...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III

I have been busy these past couple weeks, so I have not been able to rave as much as I wanted to. Toob ad, because the buildup to the climax final battle was great, and had dramatic tension I haven't felt in an AU Gundam series in a long time. And it is shaping up to be a true carnival of carnage wi...

Re: Woman in Mobile Suit Gundam Episode 38

Definitely an early form of Astraia, as she was their mother who raised them. It's a rather idyllic scene, given the correlation to The Origin, but sometimes nostalgia glasses help. :) Or maybe there really were some happy family days before dramatic history intervened. Char couldn't regret his past...

Re: New Macross TV series in 2018

Hope they will disclose fate of Megaroad-01 because i just could not stand being teased with "Lady M" in Delta and some hints about fate of Megaroad-01 being dropped by Berger without any elaboration. I am still not certain we will ever get the full story, because of Kawamori-sensei and his prefere...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Re: 0096 Anime Thread Mk I

In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing a Unicorn prequel about Full Frontal's rise to power after the Second Neo Zeon War. Certainly seems more interesting than this "Rising Sun" or whatever it's called. :P I could definitely go for a side story in this line! Cue the "no ZOINKS Uncle Zeo " reaction ...

http://i.imgur.com/i6fOCbX.jpg I...I feel the need to order a HGUC kit & do a custom build... The Von Braun section of the story so far has not disappointed me at a remove. The continued fleshing-out of the story continues to work out. A lot of stuff happened quickly here, and the rush to the Full ...

Thanks for the heads-up Iris. This is one time when a sequel & a remake might be worth the investment. The story has not lost its focus or bite over the years. If anything, the perception = reality of the current social media world today makes it more relevant than ever. There could definitely be so...

Unless, of course, we can have partially completed cities and what not, but that would just seem rather harder to have compared to space colonies I'd say... Well, the beginning of the Universal Century was not the beginning of the movement into space. It was the beginning of the great immigration t...

I love IBO to pieces right now. Suddenly the years evaporate, and I am a young anime fan watching the old UC shows for the first time. Blood! Sudden death, with plot armor denied! Callous and petty villainy! Love conquers all? Oh ZOINKS no! *sings* All we are say-ing. is give war a cha-ance!! (And t...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

Ow! Right in the feels, this episode. But it was a true Gundam moment, so I shall shed no tears anymore. Naze Turbine went down swinging, and making sure the optics would favor him and make Arianhrod Fleet look like utter rat bastards. Will also miss Amida a great deal, since she was Best Girl...
