Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff
Some random Zeon ship-related stuff Tivvay-class recolor in green, just to see what it looks like. Well, I also made some minor armament additions inspired by the Chivvay Kai from Z, adding four single-barrel beam guns and 14 AA turrets EDIT 08/23/19: I edited the pic slightly to increase the size o...

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff
So years back I'd done a recolor of the AGX-04A1 Gerbera Tetra Kai into a tan-and-purple color scheme taken from Cima's Gelgoog Marine. On a whim today, I decided to see what the original AGX-04 would look like with a similar color scheme. I have to say, I think it looks better than monochrome red

A flip phone. How quaint.
Was all right as a start. Nothing too special. Will probably keep an eye out for the next part and check it out.

Re: Your Favorite Non-Gundam Anime Soundtracks/Songs
Oh, speaking of Yoko Kanno, I've been rewatching Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex (I think I rewatch that one at least once a year), and man, that series has got some badass songs. I think my personal favorites have to be Player (which is actually from the movie), Rise (2nd GiG OP), and of cou...

And continuing along the same lines, this time it's the GNT-003 Gundam Arios , an alternate take on the Gundam Arios from 00S2, because while there are some parts of Arios's design that I did like, there's a lot about it that I didn't like. Same goes for Harute, so I used those parts from each that ...

Re: Your Favorite Non-Gundam Anime Soundtracks/Songs
Oh god, easily half my music library on my laptop is songs from anime that I liked, both from Gundam and other series, mecha and otherwise. Among the ones that I would say are my favorites are anything by Masaki Andoh/JAM Project, Nami Tamaki, T.M. Revolution, or High & Mighty Color pre-2007. Th...

And to go along with that custom Cherudim, I whipped up a corresponding variant of the Cherudim HW/R Type I changed the way the Bits are mounted because I don't like how the original GNHW/R stacks all the Shield Bits on one side, so instead four of the Shield Bits and one of the Rifle Bits are mount...

Re: New Gundam Seed project; sequel movie, manga and more
Continuing the hijacking tangent, that's one thing I thought one series did that was kinda neat: The G-Controller, in X . It's a universal standard, so any G-Con will work in any mobile suit built with compatibility in mind...but the mobile suit can't be started without one. It's sort of a shame the...

Re: Unusual Shields
I'm interested to see how they pull that off. It's pretty simple, really. The shield has a compartment on its underside, which stores the rifle. it's illustrated in the bottom right image here . The beam saber is also stored on the back of the beam rifle. It's been a few years since I read any of U...

Re: New Gundam Seed project; sequel movie, manga and more
Eclipse is a manga. Doesn't seem to mention anything as to who the author will be though. As for the theatrical film, there's nothing specific on that, but I do dimly recall that years back when they initially tried to get that off the ground, it was Fukuda directing and Morosawa writing. I know Mor...

Re: Gundam Heavyarms's - what calibre ammo does its gatling use?
Yeah it’s just like how, in both the series and EW, Wufei’s machines’ “Dragon Fangs” can extend far longer and shows far more individual segments than should be possible, with no place anywhere the extra segments could possibly be stored on the machine

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51134874192_7b1221bbe4_c.jpg Never been terribly fond of Cherudim's skinny little legs, so I set out to give it legs that would be a bit beefier, see how it looked. I ended up using Cherudim SAGA as a base because I like its head design better, and made one or two...

The Official Untitled Legendary Live Action Gundam Movie Thread Mk I
Starting a new thread, since it's been two years or so since there's been any word on this. But I found an article with a bit of news on the project last night: Jordan Vogt-Roberts To Direct ‘Gundam’ Live-Action Movie From Legendary & Netflix I'm...cautiously optimistic. I really enjoyed Kong: S...

243,721 is the exact number. Junius Seven was also an agricultural PLANT, though - I would assume that PLANTs in other cities could potentially have higher populations, but probably not by much.

Oh man, I'd completely forgotten about OKG. I saw a trailer for it years ago and meant to check it out, but I never did. Maybe I'll try to track that down and watch it next.

Re: Forgotten mecha shows?
The interesting thing about Brain Powered these days to me is that it shared a very similar main setup/theme to the far more popular show Darling in the Franxx, focusing a lot on demographic collapse. I always felt this was just such an odd topic for Tomino to go with for a mecha show and he goes s...
