Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
Let's discuss where this rare alloy mentioned in the manual is found. The rare alloy was mentioned to be reserved for making MS frames. We assume that Galljarhorn has ample access to them while other factions, who salvage mobile suit frames on the battlefield, have limited access to them. The alread...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
The phrase: kono sugata and "this appearance of the KV" can be very ambiguious. It could either mean the specific appearance or general appearance, as McGliss regarded it as a contrast to the masked Vidar. Likewise with the term shin/true Kimaris. Ja.wiki just paraphrased it as a space com...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
Bael's kit release dates should be in time for a special plot gimmick. There is a 2 week's gap between the HG and 1/100. So KV is the origin version of Kimaris, while vanilla Kimaris/Trooper are just modernised armor. Could the makeover symbolise some conspiracy regarding Agnika Kaieru in the past? ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
Has anyone considered the possibility that perhaps the mystery silhouette was just a placeholder, and that the machine it alludes to is Kimaris Vidar? I mean, it seems strange to me that a destroyed enemy mobile suit would be collected and rebuilt using spare Vidar parts by a group that already has...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
I like how IBO verse makes the frame type distinction very clear, and also their value status in the current world. Coupled with having few variants of each type, it also showed how long it takes for MS to develop and how long of a service life they have. Hexa and Rodi frames - Mid Calamity War Old ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
IBO is one of the few Gundam Universes to have open market MS. The Hexa Frame(Hugo, Gilda) and Rodi Frame(Garm, Man, Spinner) are equivalent to the GM and Hizack frame respectively in the 0083-87 era where both equally ranked frames are widely available and their use are mainly determined by pilot p...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
Has anyone counted the number of MS that Horizon Dawn and JPT Trust had?
Tekkadan is probably <15-20 MS strong at the moment.
I think it would be great if the upcoming Great Mechanics book would touch on the faction numbers.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
So McGliss got the Fareed and Baudins under his control, with the issues still pending, and then 4 other families left.
That would mean the Fareeds would have a Gundam frame.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Any chance of Trooper and Ritter in 1/100? I think we will have to wait for Shizuoka Hobby Show. Grimgerde will definitely be back next cour. Can't tell how long the time skip would be, but it will need to be enough to make Ameria 16-18. They'll most likely have new minor change Grazes or maybe a si...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
The Hi Res model has complete colour separation like with most MGs, so it is pretty much the equivalent of an MG. Grey and weapons parts are not painted though while every thing else is either metallic or pearl.

Re: Official Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken Thread
Schwarzesmarken is more enjoyable if we know more about the history of East Germany and how accurately it is being portrayed in terms of visuals, names and language in this Japanese work of fiction.

Army building this for sure. Love that medieval broad sword. It reminds me of the Fafnir from Break Blade.
Judging from episode 21 where Akihiro fires the smoothbore gun and breaches a hole in ship shows that ships don't have Ahab Reactors.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Could anyone do a run down how many Grazes were fielded in a typical garrison or assigned to a cruiser(space and seaborne)?
I don't see any more than 4 squads per base.

So these Grazes from episode 16 are Dort colony garrison colours, not Earth Orbital Fleet like the Graze Ritters?

Just learnt that Kimaris Trooper could function in zero gravity as well, where the it could move in high speeds with good thrust vectoring.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
You're right, the 1/100 6th form kit does include both the 4th form feet+frame and forearm armor, but just crossed out. Kind of reminds me of the Rozen Zulu crippled version which still includes the regular arm. EDIT: It can't, it is missing the blue elbows of the 4th form and the polycaps for the n...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Looks like 1/100 6th form doesn't come with regular feet. But buying both 4th and 6th form does not mean you could recreate one of each of 5th(space) and 6th since there is only one pair of the blue arms.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Oh okay, at least it comes with regular feet. According to what is offered by the HG version, the 1/100 may still have the regular chest. http://gundamsblog.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/21.jpg So we have fifth form(space): reactive armor+normal feet/shoulders+graze hip units; fifth form ground: he...
