Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

True. I'll have a think about it.
I did do one thing though just to increase the parallel even more - Changed the Gundam Head's color scheme

Though that does bring up a good point, and something that's been bugging me for ages. How come the GM's only got one beam saber, anyway?

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

I actually thought about it, but I think I decided against it on the basis that I figured it as a mostly cosmetic modification made for psychological warfare purposes - I didn't see a reason for its actual armament to differ.

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

That's true as well. So on another note, partially inspired by Thunderbolt and by a conversation I had with someone on Skype, I also put this together: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48932298328_46ffd09763_z.jpg The left is a RGM-79 GM that I got by basically modifying the RMS-179 GM II lineart...

Pretty straightforward - recolored the WoDom Pod from Build Divers Re:RiSE into the original WoDom's red.
Kinda like it better.

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

So far so good. Not as effective a hook as that incredibly badass prologue episode for BD was, but certainly off to a better start than the main BD series itself - or than BFT, for that matter. At least its protagonists don't look like Digimon main character ripoffs. Was not expecting to see any of ...

Re: Gundam Seed Movie Status

Yeah, no. This was years before VS Astray introduced the Carbon Human concept; I only very vaguely remember the fic itself except it used Seed/Destiny characters exclusively, and it specifically used "cloning" as an excuse to bring back the six Extended from the series(most of which were, btw, massi...

Re: Gundam Seed Movie Status

I remember many years ago reading an old and fairly bad GSD sequel fic that did exactly that - brought back not only the GSD trio, but also the Seed junkies, handwaving it as "cloning" while ignoring the fact that cloning has, as per both series, some pretty substantial health ramifications. Can't r...

Re: Gundam Seed Movie Status

Honestly, my level of interest in additional animated CE works is pretty close to zero at this point. I suppose the best I can muster is a kind of mild, morbid curiosity at just how they're going to manage to jump the shark this time. That and, with a few notable exceptions, the mech designs have us...

Oh really? And what exactly would that be? Only thing from the OYW era that I can think of offhand that might cause that kind of apprehension would be the EXAM System.

Re: Hypothetical OYW-era MS preference for CCA-era Char

First, I am going to assume here that Amuro gets the NT-1, which was initially IIRC created for him, though it was damaged in the Zeon attack at Side 6, plus the war ended not long afterwards. So you have Amuro in the NT-1 against Char in either an Action Zaku, a Gelgoog Jäger, or the Dolmel. I thin...

"Edward Mass" (I can't really like how they pronounce the name. It sounds more French than anything)
It’s supposed to. I’m traveling ATM and don’t have the books on hand, but Origin uses the French spelling “Édouard” rather than the English “Edward” for Casval’s alias while at Texas Colony.

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Anime Thread Mk I

There's no image of Jimba Ral holding little Artesia like in the original, and instead he's a jibbering conspiracy theorist. Are you referring to this image ? I always thought it was Ramba Ral who was holding Artesia in his arms in this picture. I mean, It's definitely Ramba in Origin volume 3, but...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Anime Thread Mk I

Well, the Origin’s Guntank is around since UC 0065 based on its model number. The GunCannon is reimagined as a failed predecessor of sorts to the Gundam, being the EFF’s first humanoid mobile weapon - unlike the original series, in which IIRC all three machines were developed together as part of Pro...

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Yeah, so I was bored today and decided I'd take the ARX-014S Silver Bullet Suppressor from *Narrative* and remove the extra equipment on its backpack that stores additional arms, see what it looked like. I also ended up modifying the knees to revert them back to the vanilla Silver Bullet's knees bec...

Re: RX-78 Gundam Lineage-AMBAC-Balance Beam Current Transformer

AMBAC is entirely irrelevant to units not designed to operate in zero-gravity, such as the RX-79[G], RGM-79[G], or ZuOOT, all of which operate exclusively on Earth. Quoting the official definition of the term as per Gundamofficial, from an earlier post: Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) - A s...

Re: How funnels are controlled?

Additionally, the Fun Funnels are technically more like Bits because IIRC they have their own onboard generators, whereas traditional funnels are only equipped with a E-Cap that must be periodically recharged by redocking to the MS itself- this gives them much longer autonomous operating time

The gal committing the musical atrocities was voice actress Rebecca Forstadt, who was the voice actress playing Lynn Minmay in Harmony Gold's bastardized dub of Super Dimension Fortress Macross . She's best known as the dub voice actress for Mihoshi and Mitoto Kuramitsu in Tenchi Muyo! , and her si...
