Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

Yeah... considering I just paraphrased Ghiren, I'll give you one guess as to how I feel about that. Yeah, but those types of guys also have a tendency to inspire revolutions against THEM. And I rest my case. :D Well no the old guy would probably be an oppressive bureaucrat indifferent to ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

Wait, Nazi Germany was a rebellion? They won the elections, didn't they? They just had enough power to do as they pleased and reorganize everything. Yeah, when thinking about it that wasn't a revolution. But Spain and Italy became fascists dictatorships after revolutions so they probably work bette...

Maybe, but history has proven to us that status quo flunkies never win. The status quo is but an illusion of permanence during the slower steps in the Endless Waltz! The Whiskey Rebellion, The US Civil War, and a few failed revolutions mentioned here: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-06-16/failed...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

I guess we will get a classic conflict that's somehow rarely touch upon in Gundam sereis: the middle class citizens usually don't want revolution. They think they figure out everything and they're doing fine, not so great but everything is stable and they hope they will ascend to higher class or at...

I found it interesting that this time they've skipped directly to the Valkyries supporting an idol singer thing. Apparently the UN Spacy finally figured out that when weird crap shows up singing always seems to fix it so they should lead with that.

So anyone watching the Expanse series?

Syfy did an adaptation of the Expanse novels and have released the first epsidoe digitally. So I here was wondering if anyone was watching it.

It does have similarities to your typical Gundam series setting, though a tad bit more realistic.

Funny, getting sent scurrying into the dark corners of the Earth Sphere whilst your nation works towards rejoining the group you were at at war with sure sounds like losing.

excalibur2008: the anime and games support me to date. No Gundam, no Feddy win. The margin of victory was that close. But like I said, burly monoeye MS already sold me on this one. Close doesn't mean shit in wars they still lost. Besides at least the Federation invested in a super weapon that actua...

If not for Revil... and that blasted White Devil.
Or maybe if they had just done it instead of making a big show of it.
