Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Why on Earth would anyone do this when Mark Simmons is an email away?

What's the problem? That paragraph is about keeping the original spirit of the manga but making it accessible to non-Japanese fans... Then again, I haven't read Origin.

Re: AEUG Mass Production Units of 0088?

For some reason the Rick Dias is not seen, which added tot he fact that Anaheim gave the Schuzrum Dias to Neo Zeon makes me suspect that the AEUG and EFF discontinued its use. It's really strange that the Argama has at least two Rick Dias' in ZZ Gundam, but are never shown in use. They must have be...

I'm a bit hazy on the dialogue from the scene, so it may have been mentioned in the episode... http://24.media.tumblr.com/e45957ababa7 ... 1_1280.jpg Is that meant to be the El Faro, and what class ship is it? If I'm not wrong it should be a Space Bus , a mid-sized passeger/transporrt ship already ...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk V

Well I've spent enough time on the internet to know this is something most people here won't agree with me on, and i don't want to open too big a bag of worms here. However, Gundam in general has some undercurrents of misogyny; female characters usually exist to either be maniacal vilenesses, mothe...

*They also try to explain why the OVA 2 Sinanju data is different from the Stein version: the version on the display monitor on OVA 2 is what Anaheim and the EFF thought the Sinanju would look like after the Sleeved ''stole'' it. This is from the MSIDTC column What nonsense. They're clearly trying ...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk V

I think the RX-94 would be an exciting and fitting addition to the Federation's MS line up. Perhaps not a squad, but I could see them using it in a similar way to the Byarlant Custom. Would have been nice if they focused on updating and integrating more of the MSV designs instead of creating new one...

Re: Let's Watch (In Horror) ZZ Gundam

I have lots of problem with the plot of ZZ Gundam, even if you ignore the silliness in the first half of the show it's latter part of the show that gets me when they're actually trying to pull together a serious show. The Earth had some good plot going on with the attacks on Dakar and Dublin, but a...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk V

A synopsis (of the 'L1' arc) without 'spoilers' would be appreciated, I have avoided a lot of them thus far, for fear of Doctor Who-esque paradoxes being true. I wouldn't want to seal my own fate in a negative way.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk V

You know, it bugs me we really don't see this kind of push here. American conventions keep getting all these special official Gundam events but the UK? Heck, we had hell even getting the Blu-ray release sorted. We couldn't get one of these, even if it just copied one of the US presentations? I feel...

Re: Zeon's Populace Oblivious?

The details of Operation British seem to be like the holocaust in Nazi Germany, the details were to be available to only high ranking members of the military, however everyone would have had to be blind to realise at least something bad was happening. If you watch the Loum episode of MS IGLOO, Moniq...

Re: The Official Identify this Show Thread

Two shows, one I don't know the identity of, and another in which I forgot the name. First one, always applauded for being ultra realistic, though it had creepy ancient japanese voodoo dancing with masks, the mechs seemed quite militaristic and I remember military control rooms and such. Second, I r...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk V

That English intro bothered me too, it's nice how they acknowledge language differences, however I though it's always been assumed the majority simply speak English, which is why it's contradictory if you're listening with Japanese language.

For the record, my only wish on the contents (metaphysical or otherwise) of Laplace's Box is that it does not contain a magical rainbow of world peace. Just about anything else I can deal with. :P Doesn't seem like rainbows of peace would be able to help Neo Zeon start a new war to topple the feder...

Re: Stuff You Can't Believe You Just Figured Out

However, things start going wrong when the Shamblo goes berserk and starts slaughtering civilian wholesale. Banagher wants to launch the Unicorn to stop the fighting and Zinnerman... flatly refuses. By the end of the scene Banagher has been roughed up a little and had a gun pointed at him, at this ...
