Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Well. Grandpa Flit is going to be FURIOUS when he finds out. Well done Kio. Welcome to the: "I did something stupid that I didn't think would hurt anything but makes everything worse" club. Beecha, Mondo, Shinn and Katz say hi. The diary was a nice touch, but other than that, I was never really fond...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

The thing about Wendy, is that she's not really made of cardboard. We see her legitimately concerned when Kio decides to recklessly jump a small gap with his scooter(What do they call those things, anyway?) But all we really know about her is that she doesn't seem to mind being around kids, and that...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Gotta throw this one out here, to the mention of Vagan needing to be close to Mars for resources... What resources could they get from Mars that they couldn't get from Space? They aren't far out from a literal Graveyard of Space Icebergs, so water isn't a problem, Plenty of damaged ships to salvage ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

This episode is marred by the one question AGE has been avoiding since the end of Gen 2. "If the Vagan simply wanted to get to Earth, why did they continue to attack once so many of them got there?" Why not simply begin transporting people in small numbers? We know they had the ships for it, since t...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Shadowcell, you may have just won the internet. Nice. So what if Kio becomes another Kira(Which we still haven't seen yet, mind you)? We still have Kill 'em All Flit and Captain Ash, Not to mention Obright and Seric. So we'll be fine. As for this sidestory, would have been nice to see that in action...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

i just have to say that against all expectations at the outset of Kio's arc, Zanald Beihart has become my favorite character he sold me when he smacked the Ghirarga upside the head with the Zamdrag's tail. it's spectacular. he sees what the audience sees, that Zeheart is actually probably the lames...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

You know, something I missed first time round, but caught with the subbed version was just how concerned Natora seems for Flit this episode. You see her glancing at his chair on the bridge, looking (adorably) worried.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

I'm honestly more excited for when Chris gives this guy the nickname of Low Rent Fats Goodman. I can see it now. Kio dies, and Wootbit takes over in the Gundam, thus confirming all the AsemuxArisa talk! Also, Zeheart is revealed to be Woolf's love child from Millais, and turns to the side of good on...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Just got done watching the Raw, I'm still learning japanese, but I could follow along well enough. Applause to 5 for the great cliffhanger, and the ambiguous preview. Shanalua could have used the same treatment. Oribital is cool. I like Fortress more, but Orbital's cannon is nice. And finally, we ge...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

The best way to make him more popular is to make him his own character again. Maybe even bring him over to the good side with his fond memories of dear old Asemu, or have him as a more interesting villain doing his own thing and not just mindlessly listening to everything Ezelcant says. Easiest way ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Zeheart never really stuck for me as a character. He feels like paper mache stuck to Asemu to me. And in this gen, he's paper mache that exists only to make other paper mache look better. And yet I can't seem to hate him. Probably because he looks like Woolf's lovechild. No doubt Elle is the better ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Allenby was awesome. As for Lyle and Anew, meh. To each their own, they say, and I enjoyed the two of them. I will claim to be biased as well, because I love the idea of Anew being placed in their ranks. Speaking of 00, I wish that (H)Allelujah and (So)Marie had been done better. My favorite type of...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

You forgot Boy Meets Girl on the battlefield, such as with Shiro and Aina.

Best Gundam romance falls to Domon and Rain though. Hands down. I would probably rank Seabook and Cecily after them, with Lyle and Anew somewhere after them.

After that it kinda falls off.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

They open the capsule, and the Space Kraken starts hunting them down... And suddenly I see Asemu dancing while holding the capsule and singing about his jar of dirt... This episode only made me want an Animated Crossbone more, but only if they fix some of the serious problems Crossbone had. I love i...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Keep in mind it is Bisidian now, not Visidian. Ah, that's true. I did notice that this episode. As for the hate, if there's one thing I've noticed, it's that people hate things simply because they exist, having never watched a single second, or read a single word of the item itself. They hate seque...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-6

Not a bad episode. We definitely weren't left with any doubts as to who Captain Ash was. Not even mere moments after he was shown. Calling it now, one of three things will happen. A: Asemu "Ash" Asuno and the Visidian Space Pirates die to save the Diva 2: The Visidian Space Pirates become the "Etern...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V

How did we get to here from a simple discussion of whether AGE was dark or not? And as said above, darkness does not determine whether or not a story is good. Where would you guys rank AGE's story so far? I personally would say a 4 out of 5, or a 7.5 out of 10. No the greatest, but not terrible. I'm...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V

As far as Darkness goes, I'd still put F91 over AGE, though not by much, and mainly because of the Bits. I mean, those are literally spinning blades of death that ruthlessly murder as many people as possible. 00 and Victory had quite a few moments too, but Zeta still takes the cake. Especially with ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V

Lol. I got used to haters a long time ago. ZZ is my favorite Gundam series, after all.

And dang if darkness flees from that series. Perpetual sunshine until over half way through.

I just love to make a good point.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V

I love it when people say that AGE doesn't seem as dark as "older" Gundam shows. You want Zeta dark? Flit also watched his mother die. Kamille lost his dad, Bruzer, the man who was basically Flit's surrogate father died to save Nora. As for early loss, Kamille lost Roberto, Flit, Don Boyage. For Zet...
