Re: Another Gundam Incoming

LightningCount wrote:Regardless, wasn't there supposed to be an official announcement event of The Origin today? Or was the early leak all that was supposed to happen?
The leaked news was the announcement.

Re: Another Gundam Incoming

Wouldn't an expanded/refined adaptation Wing's Episode Zero manga make a lot more sense than Frozen Teardrop? Nope. Not from Sunrise's point of view anyway. Frozen Teardrop has more fodder for the Gunpla crowd and the fangirls. Episode Zero has a bunch of 10-year-old kids in it, where's the fanfic ...

Re: Another Gundam Incoming

On a note of a different sort, 1 down and now a bunch of other candidates could eventually be in line to get adapted. For instance. CDA, Advance of Zeta, SEED Astray&MSV, X Astray, Wing G-Unit or Frozen Teardrop, X Under the Moonlight are all good choices to me. What about Crossbone Gundam? Too old...

Re: Fate of the UC Main Characters

A bit difficult to implement since 0083 was a retcon anyway, i think the real reason main heros don't recur regularly in later series is it makes the writing easier and more flexible And 0083 was a retcon, how? Adding new information to previously established continuity is, like, the very definitio...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

I must have missed it. When did Gilboa engage the ECOAS type? Doesn't seem that significant anyway. Is the writeup a comment on the character of ECOAS soldiers or perhaps that the ECOAS Jegan is an AI? Gilboa and a Geara Doga are firing on the Nahel Argama. The Doga gets shot in the back by one of ...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

That tidbit is certainly interesting, as if to fill out unanimated scenes when Gilboa fought with the ECOAS Jegan. I guess they are trying hard to come up with a write up. Well, that did happen in the anime: the ECOAS Jegan opens fire on Gilboa, who then retreats. We just never see/hear Gilboa nami...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

In the novel it describes the Destroy mode as having prefect human proportion and mimicking human movement completely, naturally because it is controlled completely by the mind of the pilot. Although that just begs the question of why not building Unicorn in that proportion in the first place. Prob...

The Unicorn exposes its psycoframe like that for ventilation; it's to prevent overheating.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

Can someone explain why the Unicorns beam saber enlarged during the fight with the Sinanju, where it cut a massive piece of debris in half. The beam sabers generate giant beams because of the newtype pilot becoming angry, is this true? supposedly something similar happened with Z Gundam and ZZ Gund...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

And just a minor note, but there are two Lotos and two D-type Jegans protecting the ship in that half of the episode (you can only actually see one Jegan, but you can see a beam fired from the second one).

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

I am suspecting that the Zulus and Kshatriya were all at least half completed at the end of the 2nd Neo Zeon War in case the war protracted. That means they were either paid in advance by Neo Zeon or Anahiem just completed those work in progress designs a bit after the war and gave it to them later...

That was my first thought, but if the Sleeves stole the Sinanju (or rather, both Sinanjus) from Anaheim, wouldn't that indicate that they're not actually being sponsored by Anaheim like past Zeon movements?

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

Something I've been wondering is, where did the Sleeves get these 60 Geara Zulus? All of their other ships and mobile suits are leftovers from previous Zeons (except for the Sinanju, which was stolen from Anaheim), so where did the Geara Zulus come from? Are they upgraded frames from leftover Geara ...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

On another note, could someone recall whether R009 was mentioned in episode 3? I wonder where that extra anime added ReZEL go since episode 1, maybe it was destroyed off screen in episode 1. R009, R010, and R011 carry the Lotos and ECOAS Jegans to the Laplace wreckage. Also, I'm seeing a pretty con...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

^Minor correction to your list: it should be RGZ-95 x 2, not x 1. There were three Rezels (two standard, one commander) that went to Laplace.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

What about the Proto Stark Jegan? Does it count as part of the team of Stark Jegans? I remember seeing it attacking Palau in tandum with the other two but we don't see its fate. And wasn't there some info in the novel or magazine scan that said that its pilot was a surviving pilot from either Romeo...

Also, the chart just relates to the novel's account of the battle. The anime has more suits, and more types of suits, participating.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk III

Well, I just watched ep 3. Not really that different from the last two eps, good and pretty looking, but nothing I'd call overly spectacular. Strange how there's no preview for ep 4 this time. Director said that episode 4's PV isn't gonna be around for a while; the animation and lighting for the ac...
