Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V

Kio was thirteen, shocked, and just learned how to control AGE-3 Fortress. He certainly didn't have any trouble dealing with surprise attacks and wielding the Fortress in close combat prior to that instance, in no small part thanks to his exceptional X-Rounder abilities. My point was simply that hi...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V

Well, adultery may not be a sin in their culture...who knows, probably there are systems set up to bring up children without their parents around....

(I think I read too much Dragonriders of Pern series lately, Weyrs and their swinging around gold and bronze riders...)

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V

It adds to a realism factor thats why I like the idea so much but it is also why I brought up the possibility of Asemu being a sperm downer anyway gotta get a new darkness with out going to far thats what I am wishing for Only Kio's birth shows no indication that there's any problem in their marria...

And to think that Asemu's and Wootbit's hair colors are of similar hue.... Asemu (descending on Age-2 Pirate version): My children...join me in my crusade to crush both Vagans and The Feds Flit: Don't believe him, Kio! My son's dead! Kio: *shocked* But...but...he...AGE-2... Wootbit: Who...are you? A...

My take: Asemu will return and will sport even badass hairdo than his dad :)
Probably long ponytail, daimyo mask with wolf motif, jedi robe, and two swords on his hips.

Thanks God flit doesn't pull a Kira and ruin the series with Jesus Roll-and-Kick-Spam.

Now that I think about it: Does X-rounder ability got to do with having long fermented revenge?

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk IV

Tactical Gundam Pilot.
Gundam Pilot begets Gundam Pilot.
Tactical war that win the Earth side.
Superior tech Gundam that is outclassed by lesser tech Gundam.
Religious antagonist.

Feels like the writers are pulling the non-gundam cliches non stop. Go Go Daddy Flit!

[ - Blatant Deus Ex Machina (AGE SYSTEM). *Wing and 00 Both doesn't have a system that can create things out of relatively thin sheets of metal, and said things to have working internals that are usually different in materials, right? Not all beam rifle internals are metals (IMHO), some may be crys...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

. that and he has a bitchin' mustache. This show seems to offers think not ordinarily offered by other post 90 Gundam series: - Gundam boy grown up and has a child. - Said Gundam boy grown a moustache. - Only one Gundam every time. I think AGE-1 will be replaced by AGE-2, no? - Slice of school life...

Re: TIGER & BUNNY

Yup, so far I like every episode of Tiger and Bunny. Seems like the director really knows how to pace things up and still keeping the curiosity high. I also like the characterization of Tiger. He is justice-freak, flawed in his clumsiness and his antiques, but still charismatic enough to attract aff...

Key is "multiverses", the event doesn't occur in World of EXA but the World of 00.
I was half-joking/half-hoping that this is continuation of 00 :)

Even after passing Childhood?

So Human merged with the silver morphing aliens on the 00 movie doesn't yield anything to push humanity further?

or is this a jab at the gundam otaku who can not grow mentally even after reaching adulthood and need to rewatch old series to help them grow ;) ?

Re: If mecha anime went Hollywood.

Why does everyone think that Gundam fans are someday going to infiltrate the movie industry and by their sheer liking of Gundam they'll magically reverse all the business considerations going against it? Seriously, it's ridiculous. It's actually not that ridiculous. I see in ten or fifteen years a ...

Re: Would it be possible to shoehorn Game of Thrones into a.

The line between science fiction and fantasy is pretty thin in the first place, and I don't see how A Song of Ice and Fire is so fundamentally fantasy-oriented that it couldn't be retooled as scifi. It is, at base, a story about a bunch of powerful people fighting each other for a variety of reason...

Aah, Gundam fans, unable to channel their Gundam lust and craving into something more productive while waiting for a new series to come out. But then again, this series main Gundam is quite....underwhelming, unlike the time when I saw STRIKE for the first time: "Hmmm....Looks like Gundam X-ish, me l...

Re: Would it be possible to shoehorn Game of Thrones into a.

Why not? In the hand of capable writers, it can be done. Tytania or Legend of Galactic Heroes are sci-fi series with renaissance/baroque/europe-ish stylings with family feuds, etc. The wall can be dimensional blocker or a series of interplanetary sentry stations set up in the kuiper belt. I think th...

Re: What do you want to see in the next Gundam series?

After rewatching Zeta, I can conclude what I want in next Gundam series: a no nonsense series that make the impressions that the team who made it enjoy themselves when making it and don't give up to fans criticism or pleads. It doesn't need to introduce loli characters or unbelievably handsome under...
