Re: Ep. 094 - The Chobits Conundrum

No, it wasn't part of that segment. It was some completely different thing (I think during the news), and someone decided it was time to bring up Destiny again, even though it wasn't an article on Destiny.

edit: Then again I guess you record the news after the segments, but we hear it in reverse.

Good episode, wish I had some MS parts to cobble together, but I've been model-less since the end of 00!

Re: Ep. 094 - The Chobits Conundrum

Hilarious topics! Neo was on point once again about communication going down the hole; I can't have a simple game of mahjong without some dude checking hockey scores every 5 minutes! And yeah, it was funny when Destiny found its way into one of the very first segments, I'm like, weren't they not goi...

Re: Ep. 021: Magic: The Gathering

Great episode guys, sadly I never knew enough people that played Magic to get into it very seriously. My favorite expansion was Urza's Legacy, and my best pull was probably Lotus Vale (I assume it was good because it's the only card I had that anybody wanted to trade for). I had quit CCGs for years ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

Well, one thing I'll say is that this show has awesome direction. For example, the previous episode when Decil starts freaking out, and you get this shot of him looking up and screaming. Then the camera pans over to the part of his viewscreen where he was looking, and you see the giant Gundam head l...

Re: Ep. 093 - At World's End

I mean really it's a shame people can't see all these series once they run out of print and are out of stock all around. Barring any serious legal action against 'internet sharing', many people will still have access to the shows. But yes, the fact that I won't be able to acquire physical copies of...

Re: Ep. 020: Star Trek: The Next Generation

update: Actually if the 'sacred cow' was fake videogame feminism (wahhh, they turned all these girls into mindless sluts, it used to be such a pure game!), I'd be all for roasting that one. And yes, Star Trek. I haven't seen the entire show, just random episodes I picked from someone's DVD collectio...

All I have to say is: MF Doom beats AND a random Porno Graffitti song in the same episode? Soul Bro was digging in the crates for that one, ahhaha.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

That's pretty much the only problem I have with the show. Because they're cramming 3 different generations into one series, they have to speed up the level of technological advancement to an absurd pace. You get to all the action quicker, but you lose the subtlety and buildup of the other shows. Ye...

Re: What makes a good combat scene?

Same as DestinyGundam, if there's something that's like, "Woah, that's so cool!", I consider it a great scene. Regarding AGE, they almost seem to pander to people like me by adding in at least one of those moments per battle. Choreography-wise, I don't notice fights in mecha shows that much, other t...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

Given we were shown the transformation also requires safety measures so the crew don't go flying all over the place (seriously, 00 didn't even consider this when they Trans-Amed an entire ship with crew quarters and such), I found it believable. Oh yeah, that was one of my favorite parts of the epi...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

Hilarious note though... the Diva transforming into a Pegasus is just dumb. Overt not to the original series, yes but come on... 2 weeks to fabricate and entire ship like that? Get real. That's pretty much the only problem I have with the show. Because they're cramming 3 different generations into ...

Re: Sp. 001: Beer 'n' Chicken

taste-wise a run a bit against the grain of the majority of north america. As far as I'm concerned the hoppier the better, love the IPAs and full-bodied ales. I wouldn't say that's against the grain of North America, as North American micro-brewers make the hoppiest beers on earth. They made IPAs i...

Great ep! Been listening for awhile and have really enjoyed the show. So funny at times I almost Dike'd my pants :p. Also thanks to you all Kira is now "Jesus" Yamato and ZZ is "Judau and the Junkyard Kids" to me. Definitely looking forward to more Baby Gundam in the coming year ;). Don't forget Ze...

Re: Ep. 005: 2012

I'm a little surprised you guys were so underwhelmed by Gundam AGE, I think it's a great show, though the title mecha bores me (most Gundams do). I was hoping I'd hear an opinion on the G-EXES kit before I ordered it! I think the Custom Genoace looks pretty slick too, but you only get to see it in a...

Re: Sp. 001: Beer 'n' Chicken

So my brother scoffs at your taste in beer. He says you should come up north for some Canadian beer. Chances are that if your brother "gets plastered" so often that it scared you away from alcohol, he doesn't really know anything about good beer. I lived in Canada for 5 years though, and if you wan...

Haven't finished the ep yet, but I just saw one of those Apple stickers today on the way to work (on a VW Beetle, of course). I nearly crashed, so yeah, enough of this nonsense.
