Siegfried is the dragon-slayer hero in the epic poem, The Song of the Nibelungs.

Draken is Swedish for dragon.

I'm guessing the idol group is used to combat the "Var Syndrome". Is it a disease that's cured by music?

VF-31 is named Siegfried. Antagonist VF is Sv-262 Draken III.

I'm getting a medieval knight vibe, for some reason. Didn't Kawamori had a concept about knights piloting VFs?

Looks like Marvel officially ended their Earth-616 (core/mainstream) and Earth-1610 (Ultimate) universes. Some of the characters from both universes are still alive, though, but they now reside on a new world.
