Re: Macross poised to finally see international release?

I don't see why Macross couldn't get released in the US anyways. Harmony Gold has to bend to the will of the Japanese owners anyways, so I'm surprised Japan didn't put their foot down... unless they bit off more than they could chew early on... :/ Different set of IP rules. Because of how Harmony G...

Re: Real-Life Advantages of Mechs in Military Use

There would have to be some serious justification to use giant robots in real life. The best we are going to get are powered suits or combat armor, which are being researched. But even that is still a "NO". In space? Still impractical. Fighter craft and space ships are still more practical than gian...

Re: VF-27, YF-29 and YF-30

The main point I was bringing up was that Macross technology sort of hit a glass ceiling in that there's not really much innovation in the machinery.... Macross isn't Gundam. The physics and mechanics of the Macross universe doesn't work the same as Gundam. There are other factors that play into VF...

Re: VF-27, YF-29 and YF-30

then which one of the three is the most advanced? It depends. While the YF-29 and YF-30 use fold quartz to make them more advanced, they still use a conventional control setup compared to the VF-27. There are also other factors that balance it out. But if the numbers could be the determining factor...

Re: VF-27, YF-29 and YF-30

well, l want to ask which one of the three will go out on top, in a one to one dogfight, with the same pilot, that is all That is also a loaded question. Depends on who this pilot is facing, environmental factors, etc. The YF-30 is more advanced but if the other pilot is a really good pilot, then b...

"Best" is relative to the situation and by what you mean by "best". Better weapons? Better engines? Better performance? Better avionics? Etc.

Yes. Final Plus was ~47 minutes long. Each episode is ~22 minutes long so they still have enough for another full episode.

Re: Ep. 49 or Only 1 more week to go

Well that's one way to regain an episode after cutting out some clip show(s). Let's split the ending into a 2-parter.

Had a feeling they won't cut out Meer's episode. It had backstory and enough new footage to stay in. Nothing terribly interesting in that episode but it had something nonetheless.

Re: The Gundam SEED DESTINY Remaster Thread Mk II

According to amazon.jp Destiny HD gets to stay a 50 episode series(the "Meer" episode and a combination of the original Episode 50, Final Plus, and the SE's ending) wishful thinking they may suprise us with an additional epilouge. Also, those who remember one of Destiny HD's early promotional arts ...

Nice to see they fixed Legend's bulby-animation. Though I wish they fixed the perspective on Impulse chasing the shuttle. The way Impulse looked still looks like Luna shouldn't have missed that shot.

Episode 41: Oh good, no more recaps, I hope.

Glad they kept "Enrai ~Tooku ni Aru Agari~"-ending from the Special Editions. That ending probably fits this particular episode's ending much better than the normal ending theme.

Re: A curious thought on some CE stuff

Another difference between the Striker packs and the Silhouettes is that the Striker-packs is not just a backpack. Additional equipment on the shoulders and arms was also provided with the Striker packs. And they did use the Striker-packs later in CE. In the assault on Heaven's base, Daggers were eq...

The highlight of this week's episode is that there's no recap episode next week. Oh yeah, and they cleaned up Akatsuki on the ORB HQ monitor. The original animation was dreadful.

The "Vestige"-opening they used in the Final Plus-episode replaced "Wings of Words". And yes the stock footage is still there.

Ootori pack finally got some proper lovin'. The year will end on a good note. And they fixed Strike Freedom's railguns. Although, I still disapprove of Kira trashing Rouge in a single fight.

Episode 38... Oh good. They used "Vestige" for the opening theme.

Ep 39 next week. Please let them use the Ootori pack next week. PLEASE?!?!? It hasn't had a decent action sequence at all.

Re: The Gundam SEED DESTINY Remaster Thread Mk II

Episode 37 is out.

Kira and Athrun should make Shinn go into his RAGE!!!!-mode with an A.S.S more often, cuz Shinn obviously can't aim his thrust.

It's a shame they didn't use Meyrin's "death" to make Luna go crazy with a Must-Kill-Shinn story plot. That would have made a great sub-plot.
