Re: Yuusha Series

Also. GaoGaiGar project z looks cool.. but mamoru as the main character pilot sucks big time. How do you figure that? Given the amount of time that would pass before he would be able to pilot his own machine he could change considerably to the point where it would seem natural for him to be a pilot...

Yuusha Series

Suprised that there isnt a yuusha series topic.. The yuusha series is awesome. My personal favourites are Exkaiser, Might gaine, Da Garn, Goldran, Dagwon and every GaoGaiGar series. Also. GaoGaiGar project z looks cool.. but mamoru as the main character pilot sucks big time. Although a bigger link t...

It costs money and takes time to add series. So waiting is all you can do

I really do wish Yuusha Commander Dagwon got into srw.. also gurren lagann will no doubt be in srw

I mean.. there is always a chance. Detonator orgun got into srw w.. and that was very unexpected

Best way to repaint Beam Saber parts?

One of my models has a beam saber which is green. Although it is purpley pink in the show so I was wondering what is the best way to repaint beam saber parts? I personally prefer it that pinky colour

Simple answer actually. Gun+Dam=Gundam. Initially, the series had a working title of Gunboy, but Tomino chose to give it a new name. A weapon with the firepower of a gun and the fortification of a dam. Heh.. pretty clever name. I guess that my question was awensered quicker than I expected. I still...

Why call it Gundam?

This may be a question asked an awful lot.. and sorry if it is but WHY exactly call it gundam? It could possibly have something to do with tomino that we don't know maybe? or maybe it has an actual reason known already? Gundam SEED's randomly pointless acronyms don't count. If nobody knows and is no...

That's why I always wish for ports to the Wii. *Sigh* At least the minigame-ness of the system is nice, but the lack of Gundam games makes me wish that I had the money to bring an import over here. I'd love to give Sensen or Pachii a try.. Can't afford a PS3, and cant afford to replace an XB360. -_...

I might give it a shot then, just to see how it is. It might help to pass the time, but I doubt I can take it seriously if it's just a grindfest. I have too much on my gaming plate to devote the time to it. :? I'll get back if I end up signing up. Prepare to be dissapointed. We all know korea are t...

"....the decal will easily slide around on the decal backing...." What does this mean (limited English here....)? What's the "decal backing"? I've neve...

Greetings, I'm new at the forums. I got a question about sanding as well: Are you guys saying that I just need to keep sanding with papers of different grits until the scratches disappear? I remember watching a modeling video where the plastic was polished with some kind of solvent to make it smoot...

Oh, and a GvG 360 port sounds delicious since I have a PS2 and not a PS3 and I don't understand Japanese. Won't happen. Since we all know [sarcasm] how much japan just LOVES the 360 [/sarcasm] Unless GvsG pulls a gundam musou and releases a 360 port half a year later after it is released on ps2/ps3...

i think it would be better if you leave the eyes themselves as is and just paint around it the black, after which that is the time you apply the actual eye colors themselves. :) Probably better the other way around. If you paint the eye first THEN paint around it black. Since if you do the black ar...

I do believe, Kurando, that the latter sentence in your response falls under a topic that's not allowed to be raised here. Anyway, as for the Gyan I wouldn't think that anti-beam coating would do its shield much good considering the large ports it has for launching its ammunitions, and a loaded shi...

coloring it with gundam markers shouldn't be too bad. Just shade in the black part first and then paint on the eye color. Do it carefully. Which Green would be good? Somebody said metallic green isn't good for eyes. Should I paint everywhere black first or only paint around the eyes black and leave...

Not exactly. A lot of it comes down to practice and personal experience, as is the case with any modeling technique. Thats true. Also after sanding I could try using a toothbrush instead of rinsing for getting rid of particles . I think I may use a toothbrush for particles and/or use a damp cloth o...

I'd recommend a cloth, or at least a paper towel. It can take a bit o' rubbin' to get things smoothed out. And remember, toothpaste is a final-stage scratch remover. It's meant to polish fine scratches, not obliterate noticeable ones. I feel I should also mention that any part treated this way shou...

Sounds like you just need to polish then. I'd recommend experimenting with 800 to 1200 grit paper (which is basically scratch smoothing > scratch removal in terms of effect) and also to try the toothpaste thing (it's one of the best, least-toxic things you can use on a model). There's a brand of fi...
