Re: Miscellaneous Gundam contributions

Here's the name, if anyone can translate
It says "equipped with high mobility type unit" 8)

By the way, massive art contribution, indeed!

Re: Advance of Zeta - Reboot

The first image you linked to is the ARX-124R Re-Hyze, whereas the other two pictures are a form of the Mars Zeon Captured TR-6 (more in particular a Keehaar II configuration) 8)

Re: MS Catalog

Definitely agree on the fact that adding mecha from all the Crossbone mangas (i.e. Crossbone Gundam , Skull Heart , Steel 7 and Crossbone Ghost ) would be great! The same goes for the Dolmel and the originals from Gihren's Greed (e.g. the Gyan counterparts for the Gelgoog variations, or the High Mob...

Re: Federation Space Forces Fleets [U.C.0080~U.C.0090]

Stallion, Il Nido, Centaur: My, three more Pegasus-class ships! Where did they come from? They come from the old Family Soft games for PC-98 Advanced Operation (settled in U.C. 0089) and Return of Zeon (settled in U.C. 0092). In general, there are a lot more Alexandria & Irish class ships listed th...

Re: MS Catalog

Unfortunately that book has none of the pieces of art/info you requested :( For instance, the only depicted weapons for the Jenice are the heat ones (heat saber and heat hawk), whereas no picture at all is provided for Febral, Daughtress Flyer or the various G-Bits... Actually the illustrations focu...

Re: MS Catalog

Talking about rare books, Mark do you have Gundam X Mobile Suit Collection? Well, if it can be useful, I do physically have that book. 8) Among the most interesting things, it lists some ships never seen in the anime series, as I mentioned some years ago in this thread: http://www.mechatalk.net/vie...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk VI

Well, it seems to have also parts derived from the MRX-010 Gundam Mk-II (arms) and the AMA-X2 / AMA-002 Neue Ziel or possibly the AMA-00GR Zero G-R (e.g. shoulders).

At any rate it's quite aptly named NZ-999 Neo Zeong 8)

Re: MS Catalog

Well, maybe I can ask your questions.. 1) those electrified wires seem to be a specific equipment of the AMS-119 Geara Doga, since I have at least one source (EDIT: it's The Gundam Chronicles ) deliberately mentioning it among the armament; 2) the "freezy yard" or "freezeyard" is a gelatinous anti-m...

Re: MS Catalog

So can we include into the "unconfirmed" category also stuff like the vulcan guns mounted at the base of the "neck fin" of the AMX-107 Bawoo (seen on episode 18), i.e. pieces not listed in the various sources...or do they deserve a different name (maybe "unlisted armaments")?

Re: MS Catalog

Great job once again! Concerning the Extreme Gundam I would like to observe a curious thing: the various configurations of the "regular" model are labeled with the katakana フェイズ, which should be transliterated as " phase ", whereas those of the Type Leo have フェース (which is correctly rendered as " fa...

Re: Xeno Asks: Assorted UC Mechanics questions

Just a flash answer...

The first 4 points would need a much more detailed discussion, so for now let's pick up only question number 5.

According to the kit instructions, those parts are named Helium Control Core.

Re: Dawn of the Zaku

Suddenly this has turned into a Canon thread Well, I would say a "Cannon Canon thread" Ok, jokes aside, I have to say that we're having a lot of interesting points and hypotheses here, like toysdream's guess on the possible relation between the MS-06K and the original Zaku III. By the way...

Re: Something found in Plot to Assassinate Gihren

Substantially it's an abridged timeline of the most important events related to the core of the manga. U.C. 0058 foundation of the Republic of Zeon U.C. 0068 Zeon Zum Deikun dies Sasro Zabi is assassinated U.C. 0069 declaration of the Principality of Zeon U.C. 0078 failed attempt to assassinate Gihr...

Re: The Anaheim Gundam List

Sometimes I saw Japanese fan sites claiming that the RX-104 Odysseus Gundam (i.e. the RX-104FF Pweelope without its fligth apparatus) could be a suitable candidate for the "omicron" slot.. However, one of the greatest and still pending mysteries (which probably would be never be solved) is the ident...

Re: Curious tidbits from MS-X

Thanks for the prompt reply. :) Yes, your alternative explanations seem perhaps more plausibe than my simplicistic interpretation... By the way, this made me remember that I read somewhere that at some point in Zeta Gundam they planned to have some YMS-08A instead of the MS-11... Back on topic, what...

Curious tidbits from MS-X

The fact that Yoshiyuki Tomino "recycled" some of his earliest, rejected names and ideas using them in subsequent productions is not a novelty: for instance Emma was one of the earliest proposed names for Mirai Yashima, whereas "Ring of Gundam" was the working title of Turn A Gundam . However, few p...

Re: New Zudah? (Blazing Shadow/Translation Question)

The mecha designer for Blazing Shadow is Kyoshi Takigawa, already credited for working on Z Gundam Define manga. EDIT: as for the requested translation, the text says, more or less: Space use MS based on the Zudah. It mounts an enhanced limiter to cope with the yet unresolved faults of the Saturn en...

Re: Miscellaneous Gundam contributions

Just a random remark on the transliteration of an old MSV name. On pag.81 of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Mechanics & World ep 4-6 (thanks to balofo!) the name of the MS-06V-6 is spelled as "Zaku Tank Green Macaque", which in my opinion makes a bit more sense compared to "Green Makaku" currently adopt...
