Have you watched Bobobo-bo bo-bobo? I don't care. There's no excuse for laziness, and pardon me for expecting a little bit of intelligence and reason from you people. It's not that drat hard to come up with a decent defense of your choices. The reasons may be obvious to you, to me, and to a lot of ...

Well the usual that I would add would be Serial Experiment Lain, Paranoia Agent, Texhnolyze and the pretty recent Paprika. I don't know if they are "brain-breaking" enough though. There is no point in making anime if everybody fails to grasp its meaning. I guess they can't be too brain-breaking. De...

Does...anyone mind explaining WHY they think these shows are weird? That's kind of important, especially since to some of us, some of the shows you've all already mentioned seem perfectly normal. Shin-chan's just a rude little comedy, like a Japanese Simpsons. Ghost in the Shell's just a future crim...

Dear God, for the love of all things sacred, a millon times NO! Don't worry. With as flagrantly racist as Rosie is, she'd be out in a week if she was chosen to host the show. With her big mouth, it wouldn't take her long to say something about one of the contestants, and they'd be scrambling for so...

My dry, sarcastic, grim sense of humor and the fact that I tend to dive headfirst into anything I have an interest in, resulting in an obscene amount of knowledge on the subject acquired over any length of time (and interests I've had over long periods of time become especially refined and well-read...

I thought they were pretty cool when they came out, but after a while the angsty whining to a lot of their songs really began to grate on my nerves, and I kinda dropped out of considering myself a "fan" about halfway through the peak of Meteora's popularity. The music video for "Breaking the Habit" ...

battle meditation Bonus points for the Knights of the Old Republic reference. Anyway, I never bought that whole "oh Kira turned off the nuclear reactor" bit in Destiny. Once you have a nuclear blast going off, there's no magic "make it smaller" or "turn it off" or "make it harmless" button you can ...

Pretty much the only con I go to is Anime Weekend Atlanta because I simply don't feel like traveling for conventions. It's big enough to count as a "large con," but small and cozy enough not to be a big, imposing, impersonal thing (like the friends of mine who went to Anime Expo said of it).

something about a totally new Gundam universe has me disturbed, as I'd rather see a continuation of an existing one (I'd go for either CC, CE or even AC) rather than get a "new" story that just repeats the same formulas over again. If they can get a new "main" continuity that they can let grow off ...

Wow, this strikes me as slightly hilarious. From the time the Unicorn's design was first unveiled to now, it's like Bandai has been saying "Look! Look! We're being completely original with an all new design for the Gund--PSYCH! HAHAHAHA! We got you GOOD!"

There are really only five facts we know about future major Gundam animation. 1. There is a SEED movie in the works for later this year or early next year. 2. Houko Kuwashima, who voiced Fllay, Natarle, & Stella, has been contacted to record new dialogue. 3. As with SEED and SEED Destiny before they...

One of the rare chances for me to support Turn-A in Bandai's native language ($$$ese) instead of merely coating it in thick amounts of critical praise at every possible junction. So yeah, I'm definitely getting this kit. After being rather disappointed in the Crossbone X-1, this also just might be t...

Why? Why do you think this way? Without an actual explanation, a random assortment of names becomes spam, and a random assortment of names is all that you have provided.

I wasn't referring to Godzilla being realistic, but then you'd basically be saying the T-Rex wouldn't be able to move with that kind of logic; sure, it's nowhere near as big as Godzilla, but its legs are pretty stocky for its body. But since we're not talking about Godzilla, I digress... I'll conce...

The problem is it doesn't matter what "makes more sense" or how "realistic" a movie gets, bias is bias and it's the peoples' dollars that make or ruin a movie saga. But that's the thing, what's the point of aiming to make something "more realistic" when it's an utterly impossible concept to begin w...

The story is barely going to change much, though, if at all. It's only the technology that will be changing.

I'm aware that Island-3 colonies are not a Gundam-exclusive concept, but looking at it from the perspective of the people most likely to read this, a lot of those potential readers might and likely would make that type of connection regardless. Hence my caution there. Still, I will be very cautious ...

Hm, far more unanimous response than I'd thought there'd be. Not that I mind, though, it's actually more helpful. I should note that it may be a while before any new chapters come up, because I'll want to go through and tweak everything before getting back to writing, but I'm definitely going to go ...
