As mcred says, the "High Streamer" novels are basically just an extended version of the Char's Counterattack movie, rather than a wacky alternate universe like the "Beltorchika's Children" novel. As such, they're pretty compatible with the anime version. In High Streamer, the Jedda is the standard m...

You know, speaking of that one-horned mobile suit... Somehow I'm reminded of another white Gundam-type machine with a single horn on its forehead, which comes from another Universal Century that's full of Char clones.

In other words, the Gaia Gear Alpha.

The hero's first name actually uses the same kana as the Indian name "Banerjee," although that's usually a family name rather than a given name. I can't find any Google matches for "Banarge" with those kana, but I suppose it's possible, and who knows what wacky spellings the creators will decide on....

At risk of extending this digression... Although the bagina variant that bluemax151 mentions isn't listed in the gold-standard Kenkyusha dictionary, judging from a quick google.co.jp check it actually seems to be the most common kana rendition. In this case, maybe there actually is an implied joke i...

On the other hand, it's nice to see the novel keeping to the tradition of funky names that could double as sexual or anatomical references. Except the previous ones weren't actually anatomical references. If Quattro's last name were what you're thinking of, it would be written with the kana wa-gi-n...

"Full Frontal" is just plain stupid. Shoot me now.

But speaking of Quattro, I just realized something about the hero Banerjee. The kana used to write his name (banaaji) are a slight rearrangement of Quattro's last name (bajiina). Maybe everyone in this story is a Char.

It also occurs to me that, since IWSP stands for Integrated Weapon Striker Pack, only the first two letters would normally be attached to the Gundam's name. In other words, if Aile Striker pack + Strike Gundam = Aile Strike Gundam, and Launcher Striker Pack + Strike Gundam = Launcher Strike Gundam, ...

Is that lineart for Strike Noir/Strike E when Sven takes the P202QX from Waid in Delta Astray (if so, let me be the first to say "bleh" to the MS not remaining black when that happens), or is it the AQM/E-M1 version prior to the creation of the Noir Striker? The caption in the scan you posted says ...

As for the Zaku I Sniper specs, I don't have them, so they'd be greatly appreciated. Here you go. These are as per the "Game's MSV" column in the October issue of Gundam Ace. Overall height: 17.5 meters Base weight: 67.9 tons Generator output: 899 kW (+700 kW) Total thuster output: 8400 kg Armor ma...

I don't think that's the final version. It looks like the November hobby magazines have new lineart with some minor design changes (particularly to the twin beam spear) and a different color scheme that matches the pictures we've seen from the video games and model kit ads. It's probably best to wai...
