Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

OH. MY. FREAKING. GOD. Where do I even begin? This entire episode was absolutely glorious. I have been waiting literally the entire series for Hiroto to pull that stunt he did against Alus after the latter predictably hijacked the Earthree Armor, and I am entirely satisfied with the way he suddenly ...

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Okay, I just went back and took down the various Seltsam/Tertium recolors I'd done because I was working on another set of recolors(Gundam MkII colors) and noticed there were some flaws in the detailing that I went back and fixed. So I fixed up all that, and put together new pics of the various colo...

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Yeah, the Tertium Advanced has new binders equipped to it. I like them - looks even more UC-like than its original equipment, and if anything fits it better. This first image I just slightly tweaked the colors because the blue on the original lineart was a little too bright IMO. The original Tertium...

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Thanks. I think next I'm gonna do a set of matching recolors for the new Tertium Advanced. That thing looks awesome.

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

#25 The battle isn't as tense as rescuing Masaki, but still fun to watch. I heard that Obari direct the whole battle in this episode by himself, and I can see why, only him can pull gattai scene and make my inner child screaming. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me at all. I got *heavy* VARIABLE FORMATI...

Re: Mobile Suit construction timeline

The only thing like that I've personally ever seen was a timeline that used to be on the old GundamOfficial site way back in the day, which IIRC referred to "Project V", the development program for the Gundam/Guntank/Guncannon, as having started in April or May 0079. IIRC, the first episode of Mobil...

Lotus Challenge in Build Divers : The new guys ###pull a win on the first try in a mission that even the top two Forces in the entire world fail to clear with barely any effort through the sheer power of Plot Armor. Lotus Challenge in Re:Rise : The new guys pull off a win after forty consecutive att...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

Yeah, it was pretty cool. NGL though, as far as next episode, I'm much more looking forward to seeing Hiroto's old boss again than anything or anyone else.

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

That entire fight was awesome as heck. The Dubious Arche was kinda cool-looking; aesthetically better-looking than its predecessor IMO, and certainly a more interesting design than the Fake v Gundam - and this from someone who loves the v and hates the Arche. As for the episode itself, it was awesom...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

After last week's feels train, a little light-hearted fun was most welcome, so that was probably the bit of the latest episode that I enjoyed the most...and I love how it balanced that with more serious plot progression at the same time, as we slowly move into the endgame. The wait until next week's...

Of what I've seen from and know about Obari, he definitely was not talking about the hair
No, he most definitely was not.

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

I apologize in advance for double-posting, but I have watched the latest episode and HOLY CRAP, I was NOT ready for this . It was nice to get an explanation that confirmed my earlier speculation as to what was going on, but what Hiroto was forced to do was heart-breaking . Predictable given the way ...

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

So I've been recently rewatching ReRISE , and I got the sudden urge to do a little photoshopping again, this time with a set of Seltsam and Tertium recolors inspired by the machines they are based on... Re: Buster, Duel, And Gaia (SPOILERS)

In the case of the Gaia and Buster, by CE 74 the two of them are basically obsolete; newer machines exist with equal or better performance that can fulfill the same roles, and the ubiquity of beam weapons makes their PS Armor, given its significant cost to energy and their limited powerplants, more ...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

Yeah. But on a whim I’ve gone back and rewatched the beginning of the series(Christ, Kazami was annoying back then, I had actually forgotten). But I believe it’s in Ep3 that Hiroto and Par have a discussion about the sky, which seemed kinda corny when I watched it the first time around. But watching...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

So I watched Episode 19 this morning before heading into work, and man I was not ready for just how emotional this episode would make me. First off, the initial meeting between Hiroto and Eve was cute. Familiar, but cute. But the fact that she inspired the PLANETS system, not only in terms of the id...

Re: Code Geass: The complexities of Lelouch

I feel ya. What was the point where you felt he went off the rails? It's really difficult to pin down a specific point for me, because Lelouch's actions leaned heavily into the "evil" side of the moral scale from a very early point even in S1, starting with the cold-blooded murder of his own half-b...

Re: Code Geass: The complexities of Lelouch

I am firmly in the "action" camp. Noble intentions, in my personal view, do not justify evil actions.
By that metric, Lelouch, as charismatic and arguably sympathetic a character as he started out as, was no better than his half-brother(the competent one, I mean) or his father IMO.

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

It really does. I think the biggest thing is the shape of the Core Shield and the way the gun mounts under it, but even the way its transformation was animated reminded me of Wing.
