Re: GM Sniper Custom Family Tree

Had it ever been discussed in any material on the topic of Minovsky saturation in ground combat? The primary source of Minovsky particles in space are spaceships deliberately spreading them, right? You don't have that on the ground, or rather during OYW there was not a mobile suit with a generator p...

Re: Aeolia Schenberg's plan to push human evolution

What do you think Celestial Beings used to attract the Observers to their cause, especially the first benefactors who would never enjoy the fruits of their sponsorship? I mean, the daily cost of running Celestial Beings/Fereste must have been really big. Padding it out for two centuries, faciliting ...

Re: Aeolia Schenberg's plan to push human evolution

As far as I could remember, one of the 00V Senki chapters mentioned that what specifically causes Innovation is GN Particles in Trans Am state. Ian mused he was a little worried about the ESF possessing this system after Season 2 because it can be abused. Ribbons also wanted Original GN Drives by t...

Re: Some questions about the GM lineage

So it is basically like this: Gundam => Ground Gundam => Ground GM => GM Early Type => GM => GM Type C => GM Custom => GM Quel => GM II? How much data from the RX-78-2 was actually used for the development of the GM? I always presume that before the attack on Side 7, researchers had already accumult...

Some questions about the GM lineage

- Is ther any notable difference between the standard GM, the GM Ground Type, and GM Type C? Which machine has more common part with the Gundam: the standard GM, or the GM Ground Type? - Can we presume that the Armored GM was developed in respond to the late developments of the Dom line AKA Dowage, ...

Re: GM Sniper Custom Family Tree

All this talk about the GM Sniper II and GM Sniper Custom makes me remember another argument I have a long time ago about which one is more versatile. The GM Sniper Custom has a lot of hardpoints to carry things, right, so I presume that it is more versatile? But then again for its role as a mid-to-...

How many Act Zaku were produced?

I suppose that as a testbed mobile suit for magnetic coating, there weren't that many Act Zaku produced during the OYW. I mean, factories and Granda already had to juggle between the Rick Doms, Gelgoogs, the United Maintenance machines, etc. while Pezun had the Gigan, Pezun Dowage, Galbaldy Alpha, a...

Re: The Official Macross Delta Anime Thread Mk I

What are the obligations that the immigration fleets have to the Earth government in term of tax, resources, etc. We know that N.U.N.S. can take command of their fleet garrison forces if it wants to. Conversely, how can an immigration fleets request Earth to allocate more resources to them? We know ...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

It's not clear how viable Military EX-Gear suits like the EGP-03/05 were as a regular infantry unit... because we don't really seem them used in that capacity by the actual New UN Forces. Unless there's a specific model meant for general infantry use that we haven't seen, I'd suspect they're probab...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

It has been a long time since I last watched Frontier, but what was the viability of Ex-Gear as infantry power armors? I remember they worked well enough, and there were Macross Galaxy soldiers armed with them. What is their operational time though? Or the protection that their armor provides?

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

Beside the EX-Gear, how do 5th generation VF solve the problem of excessive G-Force? The same question to the matter of unable to transform with an Armored Pack? (Though it seems to me like both Armored Packs for the VF-25 and VF-31 are more guns than armors.) And is it just flat-out that any 5th ge...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

Say, how easy was it to sabotage an interstellar ship so that an accident happen when it goes into fold? And what is the possible damage? Also, had Isamu not participated in Super Nova, thus Guld trauma did not rear its head and he went through the whole thing as expected, would the YF-21 be the win...

Aeolia Schenberg's plan to push human evolution

Hadn't Aeolia Schenberg been killed by Alejandro Corner, and the world unified under a peaceful government, how would he facilitate the evolution of humans to Innovators? We know that in about half a century, 40% of humanity had become Innovators? Was Aeolia aware of how fast this transformation occ...

Questions about the GM Cannon

1 How much force would a 240 mm cannon exert on the GM Cannon when it fires? Would the machine's humanoid structure makes it unsuitable to bear that much force? 2. Why did they make the GM Cannon in the first place? The EFF had already mass-produced the Guncannon, as well as improved the concept wit...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

Macross 's VFs don't really have that problem. Most of them primarily rely upon active stealth technology to conceal themselves from detection. That's a system that analyzes incoming radar waves and produces a wave of equivalent frequency and amplitude but with an opposite phase. This effectively c...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

Thanks for the clarification, Kaiba. Also, by your explanation, does that mean when a machine is given the YF designation, it means NUNS or its local branch is seriously evaluating the machine? It's likely before that point, the machine has some kind of company internal-only designation, right? Has ...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

In regard to the VF-3000, VF-14 and VF-31, they were never formally adopted by NUNS, right? (I think I did see some VF-31 with NUNS marking in Master Archive) If so, then how could they use the "VF-" designation? Is that designation something only NUNS could use, or that any manufacturer could use i...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

Do we know which VF competed with the YF-24 to become NUNS new service fighter? Could it be that descendant of the VF-14 whose silhouette had been revealed months ago? Also, why did the YF-14 lost to the VF-11 again? To me it seems like the YF-14 took the cake in firepower and operational time, but ...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

Generally speaking, most aircraft designs intended for large-scale and/or long-term production and use are designed with the expectation of having to incorporate future improvements like new capabilities and updated technology. The way this is planned for varies, but it's often expressed as an expe...

... that's not part of any software development curriculum I've seen. The only time I've encountered anything like behavioral science in a programming-related discipline has been in network security, which is more a subset of IT than software development. Even then, most of what's taught is just ho...
