Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
One, nowhere in the manual does it say the swords are the only armament... The 'close combat' section describes the swords as the 'major armament', that is to say there are other minor armament. The manual only noted that the swords are the perfect weapon for Agnika. Oh wow, I feel kind of dumb now...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
That's probably so. That being said, I would hate to see the Ryusei-go IV (sorry, the Flauros) get rebuilt by anyone. It was pretty well wrecked in the first place, but also I doubt that any faction particularly has the need (Arianrhod Fleet) or time (Tekkadan/McGillis) to do it. Plus I'm not sure i...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
It's kind of odd that the manual repeatedly mentions that the swords are the only armament, yet the manual also mentions an electromagnetic cannon in each wing.

That's what it was reminding me of! I knew it was something from another series, but I just couldn't think of it.Arsarcana wrote: Reminds me a bit of the 'Slash Buffalo'.

MS A as well. Looks kind of Rouei-ish, but I doubt it's some kind of Rouei upgrade. Definitely think its some kind of Teiwaz-frame based suit, though.

Looks like we've got a silhouette for MS B, due out in January. My gut says it's another Valkyrie frame, but whatever it is, I like it's overall shape.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
So, I didn't notice it until seeing the model in color, but it looks like the Vidar has hidden blades in its feet. If that's the case, that's pretty rad.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Speaking of the Vidar, it apparently has two little handguns tucked away into the front skirt armor: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iS0C6PDID8Q/V_c_i7bzZlI/AAAAAAALHik/fpNDOxKE-fcAnLBQ_EjezVwPj0E49V11QCLcB/s1600/CuI-Xp_VMAEjN1S.jpg Kind of an odd inclusion in my book. But that's still kinda neat, I gues...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
It's also worth noting that the manual mentions its height as 19.7 meters. Images of the kit show it definitely larger than most other IBO kits, sitting only a little shorter than the Graze Ein. So that's kind of cool.

Ever since Gaelio seemingly died, I've felt like he might be back in S2 fulfilling the same role that Ein did.Amion wrote:Only question now is, is it being piloted by someone new? Is that confirmed? Or has Galileo become a prisoner to the hated AV? *Evil Smile*

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
So it looks like this Gundam is ASW-G-64 Gundam Floras: https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1oVEaRBZjCk/V-Ks80s3d9I/AAAAAAALFCA/6NB5vuujRwwB7oC45e88uclUmIiUFj9VwCLcB/s1600/87687686.png While this one seems to be called the Widar (Vidar?), which doesn't match up with any Ars Goetia names. https://2.bp.blogspo...

Re: IBO MSV
Looks like we've got another Graze variant, though this one is fairly different from most we've seen so far:

No idea what's going on with its weapon, but I like it.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
I'm guessing it's designed for hit and run strikes. I'm guess that the blades are designed to detach while the MS is boosting away from the enemy, which says to be that perhaps these blades are explosive or they have some other "experimental" ability. Also, considering that this Gundam is...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
I think that G-Reco looking orange and blue MS is some sort of modified Rodi Frame. The waist and parts of the wast armor are a dead match for other Rodis so far.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
That was another thought of mine. Or maybe some sort Heat Rod-esque weapon, that is like a one time use weapon, or is maybe only good for a couple uses. I dunno. I'm interested to see what this turns out to be.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Eh, it's a Teiwaz-produced MS, so it probably has elements of both, to be honest. And yeah, I misunderstood your post, I thought you meant the thing just out of frame, which I figured out is the new Barbatos's club. I apparently don't know my left from my right either. Considering that the the saber...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
The new Tekkadan MS seems to use the Hyakuren frame actually: http://i.imgur.com/Ow4QH2P.jpg Uses a large shield, large sword(on the back) and a rifle The more I look at it, the more I see elements of both, but definitely leaning more towards Hyakuren, you're right. Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Middle one is obviously the Barbatos, no surprise there. One on the right looks like it's maybe made with parts from the Graze Ein/Kimaris(and it looks like it it's got an Einerad from Victory, maybe? I'm cool with that.) The one on the left is a bit more of a mystery, though. New grunt unit, maybe?

Re: IBO MSV
That scan also confirms that that part on the right forearm was a brace/support for weapons, like we guessed.
