I think the one thing that still impresses me about Destiny is how much it made me sympathize for Rau.
I'd want to end that world too.

Re: The Gundam SEED Destiny HD Remaster Thread
Fukuda created a financially successful monster which proves that people will always suck up soap opera drama and vague, empty words. Don't expect him to make Destiny better. Best thing to do is to ignore anything after Episode 36 or so of SEED... well I'm horribly biased and I can't think of a sing...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Anime Thread Mk V
Unicorn isn't meant to be fun, it's meant to be self-congratulatory, and a whitewash of a genocidal bunch of supremacists
Kinda similar to a white power Nazi movement. Except these guys have giant robots so they're cool with the kids.

Re: New 08th MS Team Short Film
Look dude, I'd agree with your point more if it wasn't invalidated in the first episode of 08th with Shiroh taking the Ball-K and literally having it showered with fire for sustained seconds with not even a chip in the glass. I have the screenshots to prove it. Choreography is great (if it looks goo...

Re: New 08th MS Team Short Film
I think I fell in love with 08th MS Team for a brief period for the same reason many did -- we were supposed to as Gundam fans in America. It and Zeta were hailed as these amazing series that have done little to earn their reputation. Okay, aside from blatantly, repeatedly disregarding the realism i...

Re: Gundam cliches you could do without?
1) Beam sabers are effectively taking a tube of the sun and slapping you with it. 2) Lack of genuine is a compelling reason to care about a villain as a three dimensional character, and to make a point there's little to be said of Gihren Zabi's "good intention". Ironically the Frost Brothe...

Unless balofo requested someone to mediate between us I'm not sure why you're taking a stance that we need to "back off" anything. Also: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/thrawnma/Gundam/Screen%20Caps/snapshot20050827174727.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/thrawnma/Gundam/Scre...

Re: Gundam SEED HD Remaster airs Winter 2011
http://i42.tinypic.com/v66r5y.jpg I have a chainsaw somewhere. And my urge to use it is rising Although that's only if they rerun Destiny. SEED is Okay. Destiny was overall a better series at its best, but both get terrible in their last third. Destiny just happens to get worse than SEED does becau...

Re: Tallgeese III Mega Cannon firing mode mistery finally so
You seem to think mocking me is going to move the focus away from the fact that the so-called "mystery" (with a "y" by the way) concerning the Tallgeese III's Megacannon hasn't really been a mystery for a very long time. People have either pretty much accepted it has multiple mod...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II
Thrawnma have more intention to somehow de-rationalize a fictional attack that clearly happened in the anime and was very, very mildly successful into being somehow impossible and thus somehow did not happen, and call everyone that might see why the attack was very, very mildly successful a twit ra...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II
I haven't insulted anyone. If you are asking me to knock off expressing my criticisms then please explicitly say so. One person is insulted apparently because I pointed out their wording made their response sound patronizing (an easy mistake to make on the internet given lack of tone) and I dislike ...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II
Ignoring drivel is usually my response. Watching others enable it occasionally gets to me, especially when it's as something as farfetched, but taking itself achingly seriously, as Unicorn.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II
I don't enjoy the show. It's a needless entry to ramp up model sales written by someone with a post-WWII Imperial Japan agenda (it's true). The problem is they pass off a poor excuse to appease the average person but someone who actually does fill in the blanks realizes it's house of cards. It toppl...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II
I don't have the will to nitpick every single, supposed, counter-argument made here that has been made to, theoretically justify why it seemed like the Zeon Remnants were able to accomplish what they did, so I'll try and sum it up. 1) Organization. Organization requires communication, and unless all...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II
I think there's a lot of recent information showing that the jump from late game OYW to Zeta isn't as extreme as it's long thought to have been. And going back to the WWII stuff, comparing early WWII hardware to the late game Panthers and Tigers (or P51Ds and ME-262s) and you seen a lot of stuff hap...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II
Yeah, the clip I saw had that Banana dude crying while the guy in the really cool gray machine actually got the job done. But regardless, Zeonista. What you're talking about is like... the equivalent of first-generation Jet fighters that have been kept in secret with dwindling supplies of fuel, ammu...

Re: Zeta Gundam: Why is it so great?
I also defy anyone to tell me Gato was a morally gray dude. Given he committed two major terrorist attacks during a time of peace. Isn't it grey in the sense that from Gato's POV what he was doing was good, and Kou obviously didn't agree, but who's to say who is actually right? That takes the subje...
