Re: The Official Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Anime Thread Mk I
Discovered this after seeing this week's episode: On Elan being called Enhanced Human Number 4 by the Peil CEOs, the term that got translated as "Enhanced Human" from Japanese is "Kyouka Jinshi" (強化人生). In Universal Century, the term in Japanese which is supposed to be "Enha...

Re: Time Needed to Finish a Space Colony
And I'm to assume that colony in question isn't Laplace from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn?2045 AD is the date given for the start of construction on the first space colony in Side 1 Bunch 1, and the Universal Century was inaugurated in part to celebrate its completion.

Time Needed to Finish a Space Colony
How long does it take to even build a space colony anyway? Take Universal Century Gundam. If it's still used by subsequent sources, the Setting Notes for Mobile Suit Gundam had each Lagrangian Point/Side containing 35-40 colonies, most of which are O'Neill Cylinders, prior to the One Year War. I mea...

Re: THE ONE YEAR WARS RE:0079
Was this a collaboration with Sunrise and some television network considering the live-action segments? One of the YouTube commenters said it's NHK. The commenter seems to be a Japanese person who is learning English. If that be the case, why did Sunrise allow NHK to use media the former don't decl...

Re: Gravitational Sensors
Expanding on my question, would there be military applications for gravitational sensors? I can imagine they're needed for long-range reconnaissance which is what Dragonar-3 is for, especially when detecting incoming missiles.

Gravitational Sensors
Hi everyone. I'm back and I have this question: what exactly do gravitational sensors do? I caught that term from our profile on the XD-03 Dragonar-3 from Metal Armor Dragonar: Unit type: prototype reconnaissance metal armor Head height: 18.2 meters Weight: empty 44.5 metric tons; max gross 82.3 met...

Re: THE ONE YEAR WARS RE:0079
Hi everyone. I'm back from a long absence here due to various reasons. Seen that documentary series. What I found odd was that there were people in real life talking like in-universe historians living in Universal Century. Was this a collaboration with Sunrise and some television network considering...

Go for it. As was told, the show was cut but it was worth the ride when I finished it. Even the ending came off complete.zerogradius wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2017 11:11 am
What I'd like to know is whether Southern Cross is worth tracking down the original subbed version. Is it a good enough show on its own

Mecha and Mufflers
For mecha with wheels for long-distance travel, are mufflers are a necessity? Refer to the Gundam Leopard from After War Gundam X and the Knightmare Frames of the Code Geass franchise having wheels for long-distance travel.

Re: RCX-76 Guncannon: Why did it suck so bad?
On the idea of the RCX-76 being a "Guntank with legs," based on the the fact the hands of all RCX-76s aren't exactly like ours, whereas Zeon's mobile suits and the Project V equipment do have human-esque hands, I'd say "Guntank with legs" was the idea the Anaheim bigwigs went wit...

Front Vents on Mobile Suits
What are they for anyways? For example, in Universal Century, they're seen on the chests of the Project V equipment? If they're for exhaust that is needed to come out as a result of running on a fusion reactor, then how come the Zaku I, Zaku II, Gouf, Gogg, Acguy, Zock, Dom, nor Zeong have them, whe...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV
Found this, and according to some people who most likely machine-translated it, Japanese censors have resumed reviewing the series as a whole in wake of the ending. Can anyone else here please verify?

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV
Is it true that Japanese fans who attended the "Last Flag" that occured hours before the final episode aired heard that the Tekkadan symbol being scratched out of the memorial as seen in the second half was done by Rustal's cronies, and that they're still hunting down the surviving Tekkad...

Having read the backstory on Hashmal, it seems that the Calamity War started because somebody took pages from Romefeller from After Colony.

Woman in Mobile Suit Gundam Episode 38
In Mobile Suit Gundam episode 38 "Char and Sayla," after he boarded Sayla's vehicle, Char begins to bring up what Jimba Ral had told them in the past in regards to Degwin Zabi having killed their father Zeon Zum Deikun, then it cuts to this , with Jimba's line being "And that's why I ...

Re: GundamInfo uploaded the 0079 Trilogy on Youtube
Depends. Anime News Network's pages on each movie note out that when they were re-released in 1999, certain members of the cast were replaced. Tessho Genda replaced Daisuke Gouri as Dozle Zabi. Romi Park and Sayaka Ohara were in it as minor roles.battletech wrote:How many different versions are there?

Would Gjallarhorn mobile worker and mobile suit pilots need pilot simulators like in other Gundam timelines given the disdain directed at Alaya-Vijnana usage? Need? No, I think you can learn about piloting by reading manual. But it make the training easier and surely include during their pilot cour...
