Re: is the Zaku II rifle feasible

EDITED TO ADD- I'm still trying to figure out how the magazine works on the 100mm Ground type machine gun, and what the cartridge might look like. It's not as clear to me as the MMP78. Well according to the MG manual the magazine "slides" into/onto the machine gun horizontally but maybe t...

Re: Battlefield Record U.C. 0081 - Anyone play this game?

I played the single player but I'm not really interested in the grind of the MP. I could play a RPG or the battle series for that :P

It's a pretty interesting game though that has a lot of what I liked from the other Gundam games (Like RFTA) plus more.

There are Japanese (kanji) equivalent words for irregular soldiers or a unit of.

Re: Love triangle

Mylene certainly has some feelings for Gamlin which are evident in several episodes but most evident in "The Nightmarish Invasion" imo. Basara of course only loves music but "Maybe That's Spiral Answer". In a sense I think the "Love Triangle" was already broken.

I'm aware of that
推奨 (すいしょう) - recommendation/endorsement
出力 (しゅつりょく) - output

Last time you stated these were listed on 80's shot glasses as outputs though. Regardless they still showcase the wacky shot counts.

You're also assuming that munitions don't/can't differ between combat environments?

Re: Finished Watching 08th MS Team

I can argue with pretty much every point you made up there but then we'll just go in circles so I won't but that's kind of what's great about discussion! I will comment on this though although I wouldn't agree that there's too much optimism in anyone but Shiro and Aina themselves. Pretty much everyo...

Re: Finished Watching 08th MS Team

For example, on his very first sortie on earth, he let himself get separated from his team, who he was in command of, and was taking point in the formation that night, I might add, all to pursue one measly Zaku that was already damaged and retreating. There was absolutely no reason for him to pursu...

Re: Fictional vs. Real-life: Prototypes in actual combat

There was a series(?) on the History Channel "Weird Weapons of WWII" that is probably somewhat relevant to this topic. Otherwise off the top of my head, "concept" cars are almost always more expensive and feature laden then the mass produced versions even if that isn't strictly a...

Re: Shiny New Info from the Master Archive

What's not clear to me is whether the same applies to the smaller "GM Machine Gun" version as well. It doesn't seem to have a cartridge ejection mechanism, but the 0083 mecha designers didn't bother to diagram the magazine in as much detail as the rifle version, and I can't find any text ...

Re: Shiny New Info from the Master Archive

I examined 弾 and 頭 separately if you do so you will see what I mean. Warhead is just a really odd term like I said even if it's dictionary accurate. Where are you sourcing the caseless ammunition from when you say "line art"? I'd already assumed (possibly wrongly) the upper and lower recei...

Re: Shiny New Info from the Master Archive

outside of shotgun rounds the term shell is used when in reference to artillery sized and based ammunition (which as a rule of thumb is anything bigger than 40mm) I always see/hear shotshell for shotguns. I guess I can see how given the size it could be considered artillery. Can't say I expected th...

Re: Shiny New Info from the Master Archive

Why they would do something like this is totally baffling really. UNLESS the GM rifle actually uses a rifle size casing where as the 90mm machine gun/etc do not.

When using word's like "shell" it doesn't really seem to mean "slug" but rather casing though.

Re: Shiny New Info from the Master Archive

Caliber: 90mm (55.6mm shell) What dose it mean by 55.6mm shell? Is that how long the shell is? the cartridge length? Sub-caliber round? That's the diameter of the shell - pretty clearly scaled up from the 5.56mm rifle cartridge that's so popular in the real world. Presumably there's some kind of ad...
