Gundam 40th Anniversary Special Movie

The Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary "G40 Project" Special Movie has finally been added to GundamInfo . Personally I think their version of Gundam Rising is a pretty interesting take. Also, loved their take on the Space Colony. Seemed to look like the one from the terrorist incident depicted in G...

Re: Syd Mead has died, age 86

Hope he will rest in peace, knowing he made same of the most unique Gundam designs ever.

It is ironic, earlier this year there was a Syd Mead exhibit in Tokyo.
Guess this does mean the value of those limited Gunpla is increased now.

Re: What's Your Avatar, Mk IV

I've been using it for a while, but my current Avatar is a custom "Gundam Head" modification of the RGM-179 GM III (though unlike in the linked image, the one in my avatar is in the red default colors of the GM/GM II) Cool, I've been wondering what it was. I thought a GM II or III variation of Gund...

Re: What's Your Latest Game? Mk III

SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays on PS4. Game is enjoyable, but less good then Genesis to me. Weird unit and moveset cuts, and also many characters unplayable that were in World and OverWorld. Also hate that they removed the option of unlocking Ace Custom Recolors for the shop with Combination Plan...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

Yes, exactly what I meant actually. Most other Build shows did exactly that. So Re:RISE actually becoming good near the end, was atypical for a Build series to me. It started to become more interesting after the plot twist reveal that May was an EL-Diver, and continued on with them actually losing t...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Thread Mk I

It sure came without warning. Only thing I can imagine is them wanting to do Build Divers customs of Build Fighters customs. Gundam Build Fighters Try finished airing on April 1st 2015, so the 5 year deal is over then. I did like the meetup a lot. May trying to get a taxi to stop was super cute. Vis...

Build Fighters AR - Tournament Bracket

A preview for Build Fighters AR volume 5 gave a tournament bracket for the finals of the 8th World Championship. I was wondering if someone could translate. I assume Ricardo kicked Rainer's butt again  Most curious about the two Japanese entrants and the one without country alignment. I expect ...

Re: [UC 0096] Restrictions on Defenser Use?

I don't know about any official sources, but I have some ideas as to why. For one, the Defensor packs can be highly destructive, thus can't be used just everywhere. The other thing is the packs might give off a Titans-like oppressive feel (think of a modern day military parade). Gundam SEED also had...

Re: Which series has "cornerstone" mecha designs?

Thought of some others. If you also want to include sentient, then Transformers is also quite cornerstone. I personally also like the units from Muv-Luv a lot, although not sure if you could call it cornerstone. Also not cornerstone at all, I really like the Jinki:Extend mecha, especially Moribito 0...

Re: Which series has "cornerstone" mecha designs?

I am not much into the Super Robot lore, but I do have some ideas. For Real Robot I would say Macross/Robotech, Full Metal Panic!, VOTOMS and Code Geass are mandatory. For Super you can't ignore the Brave series, as much as I personally dislike it. Super Robot Wars does a nice job of combining the d...

Re: Mecha and Mufflers

Very interesting discussion. The early Riveni/Savage from Full Metal Panic! might also have had mufflers. I think some flashbacks featured the older diesel ones. There is one more Gundam unit with wheels I would like to get the math on, Adele Mk-II . I think it might have even more insane ground pre...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk

Just saw the OP again, I noticed the Gehreil, the MS that predated the Graze, is in the background with the Landman Rodi's fighting... I'm guessing Tekkadan hired some mercenaries to help. Although its pretty fuzzy to see. Damn, great spotting there, completely missed it beforehand. Maybe Tekkadan ...

Re: the use of OYW era in the EF side....

The GM Striker's were stand-in for the GM II Semi Striker mostly. The Aqua GM was One Year War era though, but not really high spec or anything. I thought Guntank II was from slightly after the One Year War though, but it did use that era of tech. But for those exceptions I thought they were just st...

Re: Which Anime is it?

From your description I directly thought of Tekkaman Blade, of which the dub was called Teknoman.

I happen to encounter a lot of people searching for it around here, since they only aired a few episodes, before parents complained and got it's broadcast discontinued.

Hope this helps.

Re: Try TV special annnounced for August

Both the official site update and the official Twitter account confirm it as well. Twitter says there will be more information at the Shizuoka Hobby Show (as far as I could decipher from the Google Translate device translation). I am quite excited for this. Surely hope that we shall see Gundam Leopa...

Did anyone else see the new trailer for Gundam Battle Operation NEXT?

If not, here it is:

I am pretty hyped for this game, then again, I always love Gundam crossover games.

Re: O'Neill cylinder model

It is also on HLJ: http://www.hlj.com/product/WAVKM-11 Sadly it is currently discontinued, which usually indeed drives the price of available ones up. But they are such a big player, if they get enough requests for it, they occasionally enforce reprints. Very great find though, I had no idea such mo...

Re: Personal Reviews on these sites? (Trustworthy Sites)

The best site for sure is HobbyLink Japan . It has a large selection and restocks often, plus standard lower prices. Sadly I cannot give you any reviews on most of those other sites, since many do not ship to my location (The Netherlands). A lot of people also use GG Infinite , but I have no experie...
