Re: F91's Jegans deployment year
I could've sworn in late parts of Unicorn I saw the same beam rifle of the Jegan types used in F91... As those were different shape and stronger than the CCA era beam rifle of the original Jegan which the type D still used for most of Unicorn. That would be a ReZEL in Episode 6 of the OVA which has...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III
Thats mad well on a lot of the graze kits there's a hole in the heel of the foot so i thought that was a thruster but that is very odd thanks mate Must be for a stand or something... there's no hole in the heel in the line art. To add to this I checked both my Graze kits (1/144 and 1/100) and there...

Re: Beam saber or beam naginata?
I presume that there might be some Zimmad influence that crept into those designs, using the tech from the Gyan's beam sword. If you take the movies at face value the vanilla Gelgoogs can also change the blades of their beam naginatas to a more "traditional" saber blade shape (which is totally not a...

I'd daresay that the green squares are sensors and the round bit is a weapon hardpoint.

Re: Buster, Duel, And Gaia (SPOILERS)
As far as the Gaia goes, well I'm not entirely sure why it was even brought up again beyond to save costs by reusing pre-existing stock footage, but given that IIRC the GOUF Ignited can engage it on close to equal terms, I assume it was also eventually scrapped. I have thought for the longest time ...

There was this spread from AoZ Reboot, which repurposes old Titans machines into construction machines in the Republic of Zeon, though I can't say more than that.

Re: How well can the Gyan operate on the ground?
One thing I wonder about Gyan design is that why is there no thruster under its skirt and ankle armor. That would help a lot for jumping and may even allow hovering. HG Gyan Kreiger does have skirt thrusters and calf thrusters. Anyone here has a HG Gyan to check if it has skirt thruster? If not, th...

The Official Gundam Hathaway Anime Thread Mk I
We have our first bits of new(?) information for the movie courtesy of the HGUC Penelope's manual: 12 years had passed after Char's Rebellion in U.C. 0105. The Earth was at a brief moment of peace. However, the Earth Federation Government, still kept its tendencies to despise residents in space, and...

Re: The Clop Class Cruiser Damascus Gundam NT
I noticed some V Gundam have color scheme not seen in the show. Are they suppose to be custom machines for aces? The Shrike Team? Offhand the only V Gundam color variants that's not an MSV exclusive is the Ver.Ka version (which has different color apps in some places like the shoulder vents) and th...

Re: Share your Gundam facts!
Speaking of which, V Gundam Hexa, the commnader model, also got rid of the combination mechanism for higher performance. Hmm... According to the Japanese wiki , this is true only for the novel version of Hexa, not for the anime version. Both the official site profile for Hexa and the Gundam MS Movi...

Re: Different models of shield during and after OYW.
A recent scan from Anaheim Log (https://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/gundam/images/a/a7/Anaheim_log_GM_type_C_2.png/revision/latest?cb=20170627041502) shows that the GM Type C can use the Nemo's shield. So it seems that logistic factors more than the overall design when it comes to shield. Slight d...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III
The only problem I can see with using the Reginlaze Julia on the ground is having to drag its formerly-attached-to-the-legs thrusters, which now dangle mostly uselessly from the side skirts. I can't remember if they were used in the brief Barbatos fight but the connection looks flimsy enough that I'...

Well... now we got a extra reason to see why Dainsleffs were banned... those things are EXTREMELY long range. Hitting from space onto the surface. It's not like orbital bombardment with mostly-inert rods for massive damage on the surface is an entirely new thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinet...

Re: Mobile Suit Cockpit hatches
Somewhat-related question: where is the Doven Wolf's cockpit/cockpit hatch located? I've checked its appearances in ZZ, and can't find anything. The Mk.V and the Silver Bullet have them in the standard position, but the Doven Wolf's torso beam cannons complicate things. The official profile gives a ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk II
Thank you for the info about the Landman Rodi. Also... about the Bael still having its cockpit... wouldn't the Flauros still have its original cockpit as it was found in the mines? Or was it damaged that it had to be replaced? I would assume that to reduce any compatibility problems they replaced t...
