Re: α-Azieru (SPOILERS)
Thanks. I was rewatching CCA and I think another reason that Char gave Quess the α Azieru was due to his arrogance when he saw the unlikely parts of the plan come together (ie purchasing Axis and acquiring the nuclear weapons cache). Char no longer felt that he needed to use his ultimate weapon and ...

Re: α-Azieru (SPOILERS)
Is it true that the Jagd Doga that Quess uses was originally Char's personal machine prior to Sazabi being completed? It is interesting that the α Azieru was intended for Char since it's not really a machine I'd imagine suitable for a duel. Maybe he was inspired by the Zeong and wanted to recreate t...

Re: Speculating about what could have happened to Newtype between Unicorn and F91?
The difference is that Full Frontal himself never actually met Amuro or Layla unlike in Z and ZZ where the newtype ghosts may have been just an "echo" of the person since they met before. If we consider Full Frontal as a clone, he also met Char's "ghost" as well so he's also quite distinct. Regardle...

Re: Speculating about what could have happened to Newtype between Unicorn and F91?
That'd just be bizarre. I mean, Gundam 's Newtypes have what is functionally extrasensory perception but the idea of going straight-up supernatural would be weird. Were they ever really clear about whether Newtypes like Amuro or Hathaway were actually communicating with the dead or just tapping int...

Re: Estimating the destructive energies of the OYW Beam Rifle and Bazooka.
Probably both. For Hi-Nu's Fin Funnel, which has its own onboard generator, it still requires the funnel pod(Which Nu doesn't have) to recharge their "energy". Great example mentioning the Fin Funnels but given that having an onboard generator increased their operation limit significantly then I su...

Re: Estimating the destructive energies of the OYW Beam Rifle and Bazooka.
Thanks Seto. This makes me wonder about the 'refueling' of funnels. It seems most ZZ-era funnels are equipped with e-caps so are they being refilled with mega particles from the mobile suit's generator or is the 'refueling' solely for the funnel propellant and energy source required to actually trig...

Re: Estimating the destructive energies of the OYW Beam Rifle and Bazooka.
Interesting discussion here so while there remains a bit of debate on if the e-cap/e-pac has pre-compressed mega particles or not, it sounds like the generator output of the mobile suit and the MW rating of the beam weapon are largely unrelated. So, the MW rating for the beam weapon indicates the am...

Re: How funnels are controlled?
In UC anime, it appears that a Newtype's special spatial awareness is required for pinpoint accuracy and maneuvering the funnels into position. This would explain why non-Newtype remote weapons like Incoms utilize wire-guides. So it's possible that UC funnels require a Newtype to not only mentally s...

Re: How funnels are controlled?
In UC anime, it appears that a Newtype's special spatial awareness is crucial to operating most funnel systems so there seems to be more than just selecting a target or specific parts of a target. Unlike the incom systems which use wire-guided systems, it appears that a Newtype has to use their spat...

Re: Was the Sazabi badly designed?
I'm not sure if the power output needs to contribute directly to the rocket thrust. Since the mobile suits are using rocket engines then isn't the fuel superheated by power from the generator and the ignited fuel generates thrust? I suppose there are many hidden variables when calculating a mobile s...

Re: Was the Sazabi badly designed?
Thanks. That's a great explanation. I've found some dubious calculations for determining mobile suit operating times. Do you have any that you've done or that you recommend?

Re: Was the Sazabi badly designed?
That's interesting yazi88, I just realized that I'm unclear of how mobile suit energy consumption physics work The Sazabi has a fusion reactor with output rated at almost 4000 kW as you mentioned. That's 4MW. However the same mega particle cannon is rated at 8.8 MW. That's almost double! I do unders...

Re: Was the Sazabi badly designed?
There's also the fact that just as Char was firing the mega particle cannon, Amuro had shot it several times with the Nu Gundam's vulcans. Great point. Upon rewatching, Nu's vulcans did cross the Sazabi's mega particle cannon as soon as it fired off a salvo. Perhaps Char didn't fire it quickly enou...

Was the Sazabi badly designed?
During CCA we see Char surprised that - The Sazabi mega particle cannon "lost power" after launching a salvo at the Nu Gundam - The Sazabi's beam saber was "weaker" than Nu Gundam's (hyper?) beam saber This is surprising since he clearly knew about the Nu Gundam's development and given Sazabi's arma...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Mecha Thread Mk I
The design for Gundam Narrative is the same exact design that was utilized in the Gundam UC A Phantom World short (or so it would seem). I'm doubtful they'll have another version of the Stein. There has been nothing to indicate so in any of the works and I doubt Fukui would pull something like that...

I always assumed that Almiria committed suicide
There was some mention of her in a radio drama that implied she was still alive but not in a good mental state.

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Mecha Thread Mk I
The Sinanju rusted away/disintegrated. Some of its core components remained which is why Angelo was able to locate it and open the cockpit to see Full Frontal.
