Re: Gravitational Sensors

I don't see how a gravitational sensor would be useful for milssiles since they tend to be very low mass. Then again I'm unfamiliar with Dragonar in general so maybe something specific to that world. Unless they are needed to detect something that generates gravitational waves. The Ahab Reactors fro...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVIII

Thanks for this, sounds really cool. I like the idea of localized Trans Am or limited ones that can use during limited actions.

Using a GN Drive Tau is also a cool idea compared to their usual MO of using GN Condensers as the main powersource for their older models.

Re: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection

Enjoyed the movie. Wish it wasn't an alternate reality though. I just ignore Shirley's one pointless 20 second scene plus the two other times she was mentioned and pretend its a continuation of the TV series. It is pretty easy to do mentally since the movie is pretty much 99% in sync with the TV S...

Re: Evangelion's Netflix Dub

All I can say is that I really love the anime, regardless of whether it did change anime or not. Just enjoyed the story and setting (including EoE) despite me myself personally rejecting Anno's message.

Re: [SPOILERS] code geass r3

Now i went in saw this with a friend who hadn't seen both seasons of the show and i quote who are all these characters and why should i care. That's not indicative of a problem with the film... that's just a boneheaded move on your friend's part. It's not the fault of the film if you go see a direc...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I

Depends on what you mean by time travel. Time manipulation of sorts does happen but not something like traveling to the past or anything like that. Spoilers for some minor plot details, just to be safe. As far as I can remember for the movie, Unicorn is confirmed to reverse time for the mobile suit ...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I

I just finished watching Narrative in cinema and while I'm not the biggest UC fan in the world, I throughly enjoyed this. Greatly paced, good battle animation and surpringly enjoyable story in scene than on paper. Reading some of the plot points beforehand, I wasn't expecting much but by the end of ...

I honestly think this is actually an anime but with an App of some sort backing it up for some reason or another.
I suspect the part about microtransactions might be that reason. Seems like an appealing monetization option for Bandai with this format.

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I

As I understand it, it only confirms the ability to reverse entropy/time of specific objects as opposed to actually traveling back in time, like turning a generator back into its pre-assembled state in the present day. And this ability is refered to as “turn back time” and “manipulate time” on one o...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I

The problem is the fact that Tokyosaurus provided no source for the clip so I'm calling BS on the claim. It was probabaly a mistranslation like the Thunderbolt interview. Wasn’t the time manipulation ability of Unicorn confirmed in the Narrative novelization translation by Zeonic though? I only ski...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I

True, but it is the only excuse I would accept for such a thing to be present in UC. The Unicorn's crazy crystal growths and diffusion of the Gryps laser was already too much for me to stomach. If they're going for the full-fledge newtype magic arts powers with this, they might as well go all the w...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I

From seeing the 24 ep preview of Narrative, rather than time travel, the context was that the generators of the mobile suit reactors hit by the Unicorn's psycho waves messed up the internal parts by pushing the parts apart. The video shows that the generator parts came apart. This time travel line ...

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Anime Thread Mk I

So uh, Tokyosaurus found an interview with the author of Unicorn and NT done as a promo for NT, and the news is... uh... Not sure how reliable this is, but he is directly citing the author himself... In addition to the Unicorn author interview, I heard that was also confirmed within the first 30 mi...

Re: Share your Gundam facts!

So it seems that Gundam Narrative novelization notes that Gundam Unicorn did turn back time in the final Unicorn episode by making all the other MS’ reactors revert back to their pre-processed state and made them stop working. Which seems to corroborate what the Unicorn novel author supposedly said ...

Probabaly can’t be done here as Gunpla would fall outside of the Mecha and Technology category section of the board, whereas Gundam mecha facts do not.

Re: Share your Gundam facts!

For the record I think this is a brilliant idea for a topic. I love gobbling up manual translations and info but usually they are so spread out. Anyways, I heard recently that the author of Unicorn novels clarified in a video interview that Unicorn Gundam actually having the ability to manipulate ti...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III

That suggests that they do have some method for containing Ahab particles for longer than the particle's normal half-life. Hmmm, the ability to delay the particles from almost immediate decay does make it more likely they can be used as beam particles, which is my favorite theory of what they’re ma...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III

It's not impossible to contain Ahab particles... you just need halfmetal to do it, and that stuff is extremely pricy. From what I've read, pre-disaster cities used Ahab reactors shielded with halfmetal for power. Currently we know that Ahab Particles exist for a small percentage of a second after c...
