Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Damn, I think McGillis is seriously twisted. His motivations are still not fully revealed, but it seems like Iznario might be aware of what they are. Season 2 is going to be interesting. He's said straight out more than once (in monologues where there's no one around to hear him except the audience...

On another note, I was totally off about the fate of the Tekkadan MS pilots, but glad to be wrong.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Seeing what happened to Mika's arm after the battle, I think what Ein meant by the perfect AV system was this: complete man-machine integration achieved by discarding the biological body. Physically, Ein was practically comatose within his cockpit, but his entire consciousness manifested itself as t...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Did he actually managed to kill the Turbine girls. We do see the heavily damaged cockpits but they could still manage to survive. That one guy early in the series managed to make it when his Mobile Worker cockpit was crushed similar. I think he was out to kill, same as Mika, so they're probably gon...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Dang, it really looks like the next episode might be the last. It's getting painful watching Orga push the way he does. The body count keeps stacking, and it was already bad enough when Biscuit went. Really makes me wonder, after all this fighting, if the reward waiting for them (whatever it might b...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
This is a queer episode for a Gundam series. Mika was very unlike a traditional Gundam pilot going bersek like that at a proposal of a duel. His brutality is shocking even for someone with his background. Remember how he shot a tied-up prisoner in the first few episodes like it was the most natural...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Some speculation after episode 23... It seems like McGillis has some background story waiting to be revealed. It also seems like he's using Gaelio and Carta. I wouldn't be too surprised if this background of his is motivating him to destroy Gjallarhorn, instead of rebuilding it as he keeps claiming ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Confirmation? Where? >_> <_< Now that you asked, I searched and realised it's not official-official. It's just that someone noticed on Amazon JP, the OST is being introduced as the "BGM for Season 1 which aired from Oct 2015 to Mar 2016." If there's no Season 2, a lot of characters will h...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Please oh please tell me this is not the end of IBO. They've taken things slow, which was chancy, but if we get a second season heavy in combat or with continued development, all'd be swell. Alas, two more episodes is NOT enough. The director has done a marvellous job so far, and I think the pacing...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Episode 23... - So we finally get a name and the gist of what we now know as Graze Ein. I really teared up when I heard him say how happy he was to serve again and when they showed the display on the terminal giving us a glimpse of what he has become; a mere component of a mobile suit and no longer...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Looking at what they have done to all the Gundams so far, seems like modifying the armour and re-purposing the machine practically cost nothing in-universe. Barbatos has been relatively conservative by salvaging other machines' parts; but Gusion underwent a crash diet, and I suspect Kilmaris will ha...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
What's a "switcher" part on the kit runners? I am not familiar with that term/thing. Making a guess here, but that protrusion from the sprue probably an indication that they made part of the mould switchable, hence 'switches.' The intention is likely to retain a good portion of the origin...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Oh awesome. I imagine Gusion somehow loses its outer armour and it gets equipped by Barbatos. At the same time Gusion's original form might be revealed and used. If so, I wonder if the original form was simply underneath the outer armour that Brewers probably put on themselves, or if the original a...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
... atypically for a Gundam. he Unicorn Gundam ran out of propellant at the end of OVA 5 after trying to boost an entire ship into orbit. That was highly realistic (if you disregard the Newtype haxx that actually accomplished that boost in the end), one thing I really liked about the series. (In fa...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
The rival machine concept [2] feels very familiar, but I can't put a name to the designer. Doesn't feel like Washio's design, but I could be wrong. Looks more super-robo than real-robo though. I dunno, that concept takes a lot of visual cues from the Throne Gundams from 00 , which are Washio design...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Would someone be able to translate that? All those designs look so cool. And I wonder if the Barbatos design on the right with the sword on its back is something like what the complete Barbatos looks like? Could that sword also be one of its original weapons that were built for Barbatos in the Cala...

Re: Moving the Arms of a Mobile Suit
But what screw positions in arms? In Zakus, the screws make it easier to move the forearms sideways, like if you want to do a hook punch, but as seen with the RGM-79 GM and the RPI-11 Glasgow Knightmare Frame from Code Geass: Hangyaku no Rurūshu (Lelouch of the Rebellion), the screw positions make ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
I don't think it does; it looks similar, but the silhouette of the head doesn't quite match the Barbatos's, and the apparent silhouettes of the feet are only vaguely similar at best. Mind you, it could be a modified Barbatos; but at this point I'm skeptical. I'm more inclined to believe this could ...

Look like Barbatos with some huge parts added on, possibly boosters or verniers for space use.balofo wrote: -another Gundam? http://www.taghobby.com/wp-content/uplo ... 160105.jpg
