Re: GN Arms

Just as an interesting thought, since I have the 1/144 model built already.... It looks like the Gundam 0 will slot in as well (basic design of the Exia, in terms of perportions, GN Drive placement, etc) Do you think the Gundam 0 would have been compatable with the GN Arms? CB kept it around as a &q...

GN Arms

Alright, so I was given the GN Arms Type-E HGUC kit for christmas (yay wife!) Looking at it, I can't really remember the weapon systems on it (Besides the two massive guns on the top) - nor what the real purpose of it was... So... can someone give me a quick refresher on it? (and, if I may ask - an ...

Re: RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam

I always figured the RX-78-1 was the full on prototype units. The two that were created (the number I always heard tossed around) were built to test - make sure it walks, thrusters work, AMBAC works, weapon systems, etc. But like all true prototypes, they'd be glitchy as hell - something didn't work...

Re: The Meaning Behind Ring of Gundam

Thinking about Tomino and what he's said in recent years, his changes to Zeta and just Turn A over all - I think the "Evil Adult" concept is very apt. I think he's looking at what Gundam has become - and it's reminding me of a scene from The Crow, where Top Dollar is talking before Devils ...

Re: Colonies in Gundam Universes

This is awesome information guys, thank you very much :D So, reading through the link Wingnut gave me, I came up with some fun numbers: Average Open type colony has a mass of about 50,000 mega tons. Average 100 colonies per side 7 sides to populate (while side 7 was underpopulated, side 3 made up fo...

Re: Colonies in Gundam Universes

If ther's kind of a "one stop shop" for this info, could someone kindly direct me that way? :D Thanks Actually, there is . It has pages on Island 3 open and closed types, and the Stanford Torus seen in Wing. Side density is also covered along with several other topics. This.... is going t...

Re: Colonies in Gundam Universes

UC colonies follow the O'Neill Cylinder concept. THANK YOU... I couldn't, for the life of me, remember that :D - makes mass calculations a lot easier. For most of the others they are variations on other aspects of rotation=gravity. As for population. SEED's can be considered comparable to UC in pop...

Re: Core Fighter question

In this instance, I would wager that it comes down to the ease of combat replacement During the Zanscare war, the League was cranking out V Tops and bottoms - so if a unit was damaged, it would be just as easy to eject a part (arms/chest or waist/legs) and just attach a new unit. The MS itself can c...

Colonies in Gundam Universes

Hi all, I have no idea where to look up this information, so I'm sure someone here can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for information as to the mass of colonies (Island 3 types can give me a basis but if there's any information pertaining to the Wing style colonies or the Hourglass typ...

Considering it was one of the more expensive GFF's (around 125 CND when it was released) - that's pretty good, including shipping.
And, it's my favourite GFF :D

Re: NewType MS can Overwhelmed battlefield ?

Most Zeon and Neo-Zeon Newtype use MS are designed to utilize a Newtype's abilities and awareness to conduct an "all-range" attack. This does not mean they were designed to overcome the Minovsky Effect, but actually work with it. They were designed to release Funnels or Bits (Dragoons are...

To continue with the Linear seat questions:

Didn't the GP03 come equipped with an optional core block with panoramic monitor and Linear seat? (That was the one, IIRC, that Kou used - instead of the core fighter block)

I'm going with the light grey pen and working it/erasing enough that the lines are very thin (at least, in most parts) - and it's not looking too bad. The red probably would have been cool - had I thought of it or seen a red pannel lining pen. Anyway, one arm down, not looking too bad. I'll let you ...
