Ya got that right. Come to think of it, I never did beat that damned mission on Battlecry. May have to go dig that game back up. I'm goin through AC4 for the first time with a decently heavy mech, it can take lots of solid ammo punishment, but lasers tear it apart. :x But after I beat the game I'll ...

Well, I've just bought AC4, and lo and behold, I suck majorly. Chapter 3 is kickin my arse. :D That being said, that chain QB-ing!?!?!? WTF!?!? How do ya do that!?! But yeah. Fun game, although some mission objectives are vague at best. And I do hate, with a passion, protection missions. Although th...

I had always been into big robot shows since I was little, thanks to Voltron. So when I saw a commercial for Wing, I was one stoked middle schooler. After watching it I was hooked. Although when I caught the 08th MS Team I was one confused dude since it was so different than 0079. With the animation...

A little bit off topic, but how the hell does a Gundam Fighter deal with getting knocked down? Trying to get up in a Gundam thats also trying to get up..would seem a bit awkward to say the least, also, are things like running and walking computer controlled? Unless the bottom of the cockpit is like ...

Current vehicle- 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Bought it after I was told I would have to replace the ENTIRE brake system (calipers, pads, rotors, lines, etc), wheel bearings, and rear end gears after mudding it one too many times. Or 10 too many times. I was looking for an excuse to get rid of ...

In the Lost War Chronicles manga, there is a scene where a Gouf Custom is fighting a RGM-79 (G) GM, and theyre standing in the middle of a lake. The Gouf had actually popped up outta the water, and proceded to slash away at the GM. However, the sword didn't completely cut through the shield. The cap...

Also, Wolverine didn't have "metal" claws to begin with. IIRC, Weapon-X kidnapped him, and infused the adamantium onto his skeleton, the claws being part of his skeleton, as they were simply bone. Then weapon-x messed with his head and used them as their assassin of sorts. Magneto even wen...

Maybe the metal the saber is made of is magnetized as a by-product of the extreme heat of the weapon, or is purposefully megnetized to specifically repel beam sabers.

Well, also, doesn't the colony's sheer bulk make up for its lack of defense weapons? I mean, from what I've seen, they can take alot of punishment.

It would be relatively easy to slap a bunch of AA guns onto a colony, but, putting them into strategic spots so you don't have any or very small holes in the "wall" of AA fire is a different story altogether.

The Hunt for Red October, Red Rabbit, and The Teeth of the Tiger are all good Tom Clancy books also.

I don't know if anyone here has read any Patrick Robinson books, but he has a lot of good military thrillers such as:

U.S.S. Seawolf
Nimitz Class
Kilo Class
H.M.S Unseen
The Shark Mutiny
