I rather not panel line chrome kits unless there are certain lines that definitely need panel lining. As i hear some people say, these models are meant to be collected rather than painted, why ruin the finish or cover it up?

Im concerned with gray on how it rubs off so easily. Also I use gundam markers. Some people told me to use a mechanical pencil. I like using gray, but it rubs off easily when touched even when dried... Also, it looks as though the new kits manuals show that black or a really really dark gray is bein...

I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but is black panel lining on white parts look good? Or is gray better? The problem with gray is that it smears off easily if I just panel line without paint which i usually do.

I like the impulse design too. After seeing how it was used to its full capabilities in the fight with freedom, i see what the transformation for impulse was done, so it can keep fighting. I don't mind the transformation, I personally like it although a lot of people will disagree.

Looking at the instructions, impulse is pretty impressive!

cheapest i think if you dont really want to paint and just add lines is:

Hobby nippers
gundam marker thin black(or grey) or a mechanical pencil
plastic white eraser

and your kit.

depending on your kit you may or may not want paint.

will applying nail polish on chrome damage it? Im trying to remove mistakes from using gundam markers with nail polish on chrome plated parts like the akatsuki.

Is it a good idea to panel line the 1/100 akatsuki gundam?

Is it worth panel lining over the gold chrome parts?
Should i just panel line the non-gold chrome parts?
Just dont panel line anything since the akatsuki looks good by itself?

usually like blue and red pieces (pieces that are not dark as black or light as white or yellow or pink), but usually i dont use brown and stick with black.

GM 01 black (thin) for panel lines on dark pieces and GM 02 Grey (thin) for light pieces like white or light colors.

what can i use to protect chrome plated silver gundam markers so that it will still have the shine look, but stays fine. Using a water base varnish reacted with gundam markers paint in the past, what works?

what do u mean by spray silver on the back part? i am interested in that.

are clear sd gundams better or solid plastic gundams better?

just wondering, gray seems more light and more like a smooth look while black stands out better, although the color contrast seems sharp when its black and white. Thanks for the input!
