well... they do have FixFiguration lineup for people who have no time to build nice looking gunpla themselves. ok it's not strictly speaking the gunpla but it's in 1/144 scale most of time and with reasonable mobility and often better proportion than the gunpla counterpart. HY2M line up was initially introduced for adult with fat wallet~ ^ ^
There's 1/12 as well as 1/24 injection kit that you can assemble - I have 1/24 HY2M RX=78 from couple of years ago~
And you've all heard of 1/12 scale Zaku and Gundam...

Quick Question... those option kits just now... what scale are they? Would they be alright for modding a MG kit? AC kits are 1/72, but i think the actual size of the weapons of tthose option kits are just right for a 1/100 MG kit :wink: I thought those 1/72 AC option parts are more suited for 1/144...

I tend to assemble as the sub-modules.
And then paint before final assembly plus any minor touch up where necessary~

well~
I have had the incidents where the masking tape pulled the paint at the tight corner... Maybe I was bit impatient and didn't wait for the Acrylics fully cured... - -;

Also c-joint mod allows you to complete each components separately and put together at later stage - kind of LEGO huh~?

if you use the airbrush Acrylic is the way to go and not just for heathwise~
I find hand brushing Acrylics isn't that easy - or maybe I lack the patience when it comes to the hand brushing... -__-;;

the thing with Metallizer is you cannot do the top coat~
there's top coat designed for Metallizer but it's only for non-buffing version~

not very long for careful handling and touching
when I was buidling Eva-0 kit few weeks back I used the Glossy top coat on the yellow armour parts and after about an hour of drying time I can touch and handle them though I left them over night to be safe side before put them back onto the frame~

here's what I do. 1. Use the old plastic cutter I cut off the piece with the bits of runner attached to the part 2. looks to me like Urethan coating that I heard of...
I've heard you can get the urethan coating kit which can achieve this kind of deep luscious glossy look~

only way to paint the poly cap is encapsulate it using the thin pla-plate.
You basically build the cage to put the poly cap inside thus you can paint the outside...

This is something done fairly often with old HG 1/144 kits...
