Of course a recolor isn't always going to elicit a positive response. But if you're going to bunch them together, that's magnifying things. So yeah - and as SNT1 illustrated - timing is of the essence. And yeah, I wasn't active when the '02-'03 HGUC lines were released, but seeing the lineup actuall...

OT: Frankly auriga, I think that Manga-wise, FRAME ASTRAYS is the best thing to happen to the C.E. since the original - so far. Here's hoping they don't Charlie-Foxtrot the whole thing at the end like they did Delta. And Destiny Astray. Funny, because even Deacon (on 00 Forums) admitted he was losin...

Really? I don't see how they could confuse the two. As he mentioned, it isn't so much that Graham resembles Char. Rather, fans are forcing him into Mr. Aznable's "legendary" role. I mean, how many fanart have we seen depicting Graham with shades or a red pilot suit? Or people yelling &quo...

I agree with the popularity bit - though the same be said for the Frame Astrays releases. I mean, a gold (a bad one, at that) GOUF? A pink Civvy Astray? I really find it hard to believe that *uninspired* designs from a *pathetic* manga are more popular than stuff from the main storyline that actuall...

all these Frame Astrays recolours are life support to the max. Everything in there is a recolour but for Blue Frame Third and Hyperion G after all, and we're seeing a full line for what seems to be the least popular of the Astray series for goodness sake. (true, a very large number of Astray and X ...

Everyone's going to be disappointed Are you sure, or are you speaking your mind? I wonder how many people really wanted an MG Nemo? Even as a guy who wuvs his GM-style grunts, I found that one iffy. I mean, Nemo is the unwanted cousin of GMs. That's you . And besides, the Nemo had good engineering ...

Hey I thought the IWSP slapped on the Impulse looked pretty cool, but damn Bandai if they decide to put a crappy backstory on it and release THAT as an MG. I beg you, mercy!!! That, or for any Striker Pack (or God forbid, even the Akatsuki packs!) equipped Impulse. Now that's a waste. Also, I'm not...

And the point is still that they aren't going to not release something else so they can put out Strike E or a Zaku with slightly different leg parts than Char's or the J, so you aren't losing out on MG COOLEST THING EVER MADE. And as a consumer, I'd rather buy a Strike E with an IWSP than a Strike ...

And yet, as I pointed out, this "1 MG per month" thing doesn't exist anymore. I don't even know such a policy existed in the past, and in any case I said "for example ." Don't tell me you took that entire statement literally. Hence I'm with SNT1 - this year's MG lineart is... Cr...

Recolours aren't really wastes, at least anymore, considering we've got about a half dozen Master Grades in the pipe all at the same time. Making all new kits of stuff that doesn't really matter is a waste, because it sucks up engineering resources that could be put into better stuff. Recolours are...

On the flipside, what's wrong with a little cement? I mean, for one that's loads better than having to paint the entire darned thing to the right colors.

In a battle they need to dodge stray beam shots and shrapnel that are flying about so one extra bit won't make a difference. What Laevatein said. While soldiers are indeed trained to multitask there is still a certain limit to how much they can do at once, especially under pressure; for all we know...

... And even if the pilot does dodge the first hit and keeps his attention on the boomerang for the return hit, that leaves him open for a different attack. Even if the pilot is good enough to evade the return hit and anticipate a combo attack from the enemy, it's still bound to keep him on his toes...

I mean, hell, MG Impulse hardly looks like Impulse from the waist down to my eyes, and all the upper body has is angled shoulders, which makes it appeal little to me. Which for me is a good thing, because the original design was bland if not utterly forgettable. But is it confirmed that the movie w...

Not so. The only beam boomerangs that double as full-fledged beam sabers (as in, with an actually useful blade length) are the "Flash Edge 2" used by Destiny and the enormous one mounted to IJ's shield. Neither the original Midas Messer, nor those of the Sword Calamity, nor the Flash Edge...

Agreed. As good as the IJ was, its 1/100 rendition still looked... IMO, weird. Granted, IMO, the IJ isn't the most coherent design, but the 1/100 just had the wrong proportions at some areas. This was further proven when Keita made his own "MG" version. So, which Justice will it be? Honest...

I don't have it, but I must say it's greatest assets are its weapons; they're just amazing to the point I even considered buying the entire kit just for them.

Don't expect this kit to be poseable as DeltasTaii said. That's pretty much the cost of getting a transformable MS - you lose articulation.

Well, there's also the bit about most beam boomerangs doubling as traditional beam sabers/bladed weapon.

But then again, we never saw that bit in action.
