Re: GUNDAM BUILD DIVERS

Besides the 2 previous GBFs, the last anime that I really enjoyed was Gundam 00. This is a welcome series, just because it's fun even though BF is a more blatant gunpla rehash/commercial.

Re: The Last Jedi

I'm assuming most here have seen it? because here's my thoughts. SPOIlERS BELOW Starting with what I like: +The shot when Holdo did her last move was for the ages. +The throne room Lightsaber battle was also well shot What I didn't like (hoo boy here we go) -Luke's characterization. All the build up...

Re: Front Vents on Mobile Suits

Maybe someone else knows the real answer, but I'd imagine that they'd be for cooling rather than exhaust, kinda like a front grille on a car. Literally rule of cool

Re: The Last Jedi

The poster shows A big Luke face next to a smaller Kylo Ren face on either side of Rey, who is holding a blue lightsaber that turns to red at the top. I'm believing the Grey Jedi theory from the extremely limited info. Didn't Luke already use a very little bit of the dark side in VI?

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

X_zoro, I think you're putting too much faith into Hush who was a side character to begin with... plus with Shin and Yuuya from Total Eclipse, they were established as the main characters to begin with... Opinions are opinions, but the first handful episodes of S2 clearly, objectively shows that Hu...

Or maybe he is a clone of Sidious, or Plagueis.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

@Areku I have too agree 100% less Hush would have been a lot better earlier on. This is assuming that they knew what they were doing with him from the beginning until the end of S2  I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but if I had to pun my tinfoil hat on it reeks eerily of GSD Fuku...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

Yeah, I think politically IBO gets most of it right for most of the series. It nails the colonialism themes early-on, and I think that--along with the Mars setting--are some of what the series does best. This is why I gave IBO a chance and stuck through it (disclaimer: SNT1 has seen exactly zero ep...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

Rustal isn't an "evil guy" per se but an antagonist in every sense of the word, and from our protagonist's PoV, the "bad guys." Also, I don't look at Rustal "losing" because the world has his eyes on him. I don't remember him gunning for a power grab throughout the seri...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III

Finale (and the last 6 eps, really) makes you wonder if there was really any need to advancing AV tech, or Gundam frames, or any other MS when they show us that the best resolution for any problem is to Dainsleif the hell out of it.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

I thought April Fool's was over; I almost saw it coming but still didn't expect this joke of an ending  WINNER: Rustal Elion. Kind of a 180 from the viewer's PoV that he would be the one to end Human Debris and make Mars independent. What I do buy though, that he's a hero; from others' point of...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

...hmmm I might have missed that part, but still he was able to move from dying poor and became a player in the world stage. For that he was lucky. I can't even possibly fathom anyone in McGillis' situation can be considered "lucky". I don't want to get too much into debate on this but I'...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III

I'm not sure what you're referring to that Bael discarded one of its swords Bael lost one of its blades in its first fight against KV Just goes to show that Kimaris overpowered and outgunned Bael. Despite the KV likely being designed to pretty much counter everything the Bael had (which wasn't much...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

This episode really made me feel bad for McGIllis. He was an extremely lucky child that got the opportunity leave the streets, have a better than average education, a fulfilling job, have friends and possible a love interest. Had he being able to go beyond his childish delusions of grandeur he coul...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III

My bad, it's neither the space nor the ground, it's the Ares configuration (still an EB-06 instead of a more dedictaed EB-06j), but again, it's still a moot point.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

I like a good internet sparring session as much as the next guy, but everyone seem to be getting a little too heated up. Anyways. 8) Err....you realize Hush is a side character, just like Zack and the big dude right? It seems you wanted Hush to be a significant player somehow. He was built up to be ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk III

Before, I had McGillis winning and really beasting on KV. After, when It seemed like when KV red-eyed (when Gaelio asked "Ein") he started to get the upper hand on Bael, and was just pushing Bael back until he pinned him on the side of the ship and ultimately winning. Plus there's the freq...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk IV

Is Hush's status of becoming a human walking stick and being a yes-man for about 15 episodes... good character development to you, regardless of his skills in MS? When did I ever say it was character development? I said it was his character ARC. There's a difference. I didn't say you said it was ch...
